Firbolgs are mortal descendants of a race of fey giants known as Fomorians. Millennia ago, the queen of the Unseelie Court cursed the Fomorians, once a proud and beautiful folk, to become vile and fearsome creatures. Initially, those who were not full-blood Fomorians, and Fomorians who had not wronged the queen were unaffected by the curse. But as time went on, every creature with a drop of Fomorian blood in their veins began to succumb to the curse. The survivors fled the Feywild to save themselves.   Historians argue that firbolgs are actually the first of the mortal races, but it isn't clear when exactly the left the Wild or lost their immortality. Traditionally, firbolg communities can be found in secluded forests away from other societies.   Firbolgs are large folk that resemble various hoofed creatures of their native environments.
