Dwarf
Legend says that when dwarves were born of titan bones, they had to carve their way out of the ground. Regardless of the truth of this claim, dwarven-dominant culture is almost entirely underground. They make their homes in and under mountains, and their cities are great feats of engineering; though the illithids destroyed the dwarven empire, magnificent ruins remain. Recent efforts to reclaim them have met with great success due to their structural marvels.
People who grow up with dwarves have the following traits:
Dwarf
Languages. Common, Dwarvish, and Primordial are the languages taught in dwarf-dominant cultures.
Stonecunning. Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to the origin of stonework, you are considered proficient in the History skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check instead of your normal proficiency bonus.
Tool Proficiency. Dwarves are renowned crafters. You gain proficiency with one of the following artisan's tools: mason's tools, smith's tools, or tinker's tools.
