Deep Gnome
Deep gnomes were trapped in the Underdark when the Far Realm invaded. Over the centuries, they have formed close ties with deep elves, and many Underdark cities bear a mix of both cultures.
Where deep gnomes are the dominant culture, the settlements are smaller and the lifestyles simpler. Deep gnome societies are tight-knit and collectivist, protecting one another against the dangers that continue to roam the Underdark.
Deep Gnome
Languages. You know Common, Undercommon, and one other language of your choice.
Deep Gnome Magic. Deep gnome culture has retained some of the magic developed during the invasion of the Far Realm. You can cast nondetection
on yourself at will, without needing a material component. You can also cast each of the following spells once with this ability: blindness/deafness, blur, and disguise self. You regain the ability to cast these spells when you finish a long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Superior Darkvision. If you have darkvision from your ancestry, it has a radius of 120 feet. If you do not have darkvision from your ancestry, you have adapted to a life of underground darkness. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of grey.
