Session 7
General Summary
FULL MOON GROVE TRAIL
- Hunting Party introduces themselves, Blanca the weretiger leader, explain they have to take Mak'Ti back to the village as he is now a Lycanthrope
- Group gathers spider heads and puts in Bag of Holding (and maybe some teeth)
- Lycanthrope explanation
- They give Harkon's Bite back to Blanca, who lies and says they have been looking for it for weeks
- Vrae very unsettled by the group, questions them on Malar, but relents when she learns village worships Eberron god of Balinor (beasts and the hunt)
- Da'ath realized they are led by winding and confusing path, is told it is so they cannot know the village's location and lead other's back there
- 6 hour hike to village, arrive around Midnight
- Mak'Ti meets tribal leader Perry, who tells him the challenge of mastering the beast within, starts training him
- Mak'Ti loses control and becomes a raven, beastial mind, and is captured in a net for the night
- Rest of party is left at "guest quarters" - old moldy ramshackle hut on outskirts of village under guard by Werewolves Jocoba, Mada and werebear Lobar (kind dumb)
- T'Nin tries to sneak out and look around village, gets caught and sent back to group
- LONG REST
- In morning Perry gives Mak'Ti breakfast of raw sausage, while Mak'Ti meets back up with group briefly, before returning to training with Perry
- Mak'Ti also sends Nuri to check on Mantiq at the coach, learning the man is safe and waiting, just fishing
- Perry doesn't want Mak'Ti to leave, especially with Full Moon coming in 5 days
- Blanca isolates Vrae and asks many questions about her past and her city, Vrae doesn't give many details. Blanca tries to sow doubt in Eldath city, wondering why they would exile their own
- Blanca also reveals they've encountered other Aasimar in the wild, which Vrae is very curious about
- Bord keeps tells Vrae to be nice and trust these people, causing her to lower her guard
- Blanca and Lobar take party to armory for supplies, hinting they'll restock them and send them on their way (though T'nin overheard concerning whispers the night before about what they should do with Party)
- They learn many of the Lycanthropes of the village (and there are dozens and dozens and dozens) are naturally born lycanthropes, born with the curse and unable to remove it
- Armory depot run by Nuren Hammor, who gives Da'ath back his javelins that he lost in Spider battle
- Blanca mentions a juice bar, which Vrae is interested in, and they leave the group
- Mak'Ti makes a lot of progress, but keeps saying they cannot stay
- Perry reveals the Hunting Party has never brought non-Lycans all the way back to the village before, asks why they would be interested in Recompensators
- Mak'Ti brings up Harkon's Bite, Perry says it has been missing for weeks, Mak'Ti says they gave it back to Blanca, Perry is confused as it is STILL missing
- Vrae is pushed into small hut, Blanca closes the door and reveals Jocoba and Mada with her, all threatening Vrae, demanding to know location of Eldath's city
- Realizing they are indeed in league with The Hunters, Vrae knows she is in trouble and tries to push past them to escape, to no avail
- She throws out her wings, frightening all of them, and barely escapes, charging back to the armory
- Vrae gets back to armory, door is now blocked by Lobar, who says she should be with Blanca, group realizes the danger, they push past Lobar and try to get to Mak'Ti
- Make a lot of noise, attract a large crowd, Mak'Ti and Perry hear it from within the main building. Mak'Ti goes out to help, Perry says he will join in a minute, while also explaining they have few if any weapons ready to "kill" Lycans
- Party is caught between Blanca and the werewolves and Lobar, crowd all around them, Blanca telling everyone to kill the outsiders
- Perry appears on roof, tossing a vial of wolfsbane down toward Blanca and the wolves, weakening them and ordering them to stand down and become human, as his guards appear and surround them
- Perry and guards lead prisoners to "guest chambers" for interrogation, party coming along
- Lobar is left outside, most feeling he was duped and just following orders as he is dumb. He tells Mak'Ti and Da'ath about the Hunters, being nomadic, and that there was an Aasimar with them
- Vrae beats on Blanca while Perry questions her
- Blanca reveas the Aasimar with the hunted was another exile, who had let hunted into the city, and under Mak'Ti's suggestion spell, reveals his name was Renard, which shocks and upsets Vrae. She splits Blanca's throat, spilling blood, and Mak'Ti's beastial spirit takes over, and he becomes a raven, captured by Perry
- Interrogation over, Perry orders his guards to kill Blanca, Mada and Jocoba
- Group figures out what to do next. Mak'Ti reverts to human about an hour later, they get the location of the city from Perry so they can return, reluctantly agree to let LOBAR stay in Grove under careful watch until they return and enlist his aid to find the HUNTERS
- Perry gives them some items to help them on their quest, thanks them for helping him stamp out Malar influence, and has a guide take them back to site of spider-fight
- Perry also warns them about Full Moon in 5 days, and warns them to keep Mak'Ti under careful watch and keep him bound while long-resting
- Realize that Vrae and Mak'Ti both come from secret cities, both exiled 7 years ago, and both had memories tampered with so they did not recall location of home
- Vrae very upset, they all agree they should set out to find and kill Hunters soon
- Return to carriage late afternoon/ evening and find Mantiq waiting for them at the coach, with a pile of fish he caught in the interum.

- Add prophecy about Bord that his father knows about, Aarakocra born with black-feathers born to brown feathered family, father got prophecy while touring Domunz, visited Dalfnag during this time, was told his child would be the key the cult needed to bring about HIS return. Prophet died soon after. Why his father didn't like him.
- Add letter to father to family in Wingperch, telling Bord he has been searching for him, feels he needs to speak to him about his past, and his future
- Add Tony and Reggie Vedalken enemy to Cloudscape, in bar or something, been there for a few years, can feel the piece of the orrery is here, but he cannot find it. Has been looking all this time

CHAR Saves (Resisting the Curse)
Whenever the character transforms they must make a Charisma saving throw, DC 15, which increases with each failed save or decreases with each successful save. Once the save hits DC 20, the character has succumbed to the Beast and is permanently lost, taking on the effects of embracing the curse. On that same note, if the DC hits 0, the character has completely mastered their inner Beast, and does not have to make any more saves, except during Full Moons.- (Started at DC 15)

CON Saves (Terror of the Night and Full Moon)
When you take a long rest, you must succeed a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become transformed at a random point during the rest, attacking the nearest available creature a minimum of 2 turns if able. Your actions and bonus actions must be used for melee attacks against other creatures if able during those turns, and attempting to transform back afterwards must also succeed a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. This does not use your limited transformations, and you still gain all the benefits of a long rest if you resume your rest before 30 minutes past. In order to remember the events of this transformation, you must succeed a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw, otherwise you have no recollection of these events.- (DC 10)
- Use for Long Rest and Full Moon
- Each long rest that you do not transform due to Terror of the Night, you may attempt to gain more control over your transformations by making a DC 10 Constitution Check.
- Each long rest you kill creature(s) while transformed due to Terror of the Night, gain a -1 modifier to the Constitution Check in attempts to control the beast.
- If you succeed in an accumulative total of 5 Constitution Checks when you attempt to control the beast, you automatically succeed on saving throws for the Terror of the Night feature except on full moon, in which case you have advantage on the saving throw.
- Resist the curse - DC 20 Constitution Saving Throw
- The curse is at its strongest whenever there is a Full Moon in the sky - at that time, if the character has not mastered it’s Lycanthropy, the infected character must make all Wisdom saving throws that cycle at disadvantage to retain their sense of self.
