THINDRILINE INN
  • Belgar will BLIP OUT, while VRAE and Gorrazar BLIP IN
  • NAVARAX will meet them for Breakfast at the Inn Navarax Sheet (LVL 20)
  • GAEL awakens and instantly sets off a TRAP, as 3 special BINDING ARROWS are fire are him (d20+8) (DC 18 STR to escape), and a note pops out

  • Gael reaches out to Vrae and Gorrazar for aid to escape the nets, Gorrazar frees him
  • Gael heads for his appointment with Kraburen Battleforged - Dwarf F Ranger - runs Bolts and Arrows in THINDRILINE , but finds the shop closed, comes back dejectedly later to breakfast
  • Da'ath and Bord speak to Navarax, remember him from their time in Cloudscape hunting Judai'arul
  • Navarax reveals his PRIMARY mission is hunting Judai'aruk still, Bord reads his thoughts and learns he was hired by Win'ild, the Capatain of the Air Genasi soldiers known as the Fangs, who they met in the Elemental Plane of Air (and who used to be T'nin's friend, and was the one who stabbed T'nin and threw him into the portal to Oroccid.)
  • Also learn Navarax was also paid to bring T'nin back to Win'ild if he were to be found
  • Gorrazar and Da'ath speak about their recent training/instruction, Gorrazar learns he needs to be a little smarter to use Psionic powers. Vows to find a way
DWARVEN TOMES
  • Run by Dwarf (M) named Oream Heavycoat
  • Spot the string of rotten kelp from Keyrth from 100 years ago that he has preserved in a beautiful glass vial.
  • Bord visits to buy components for his spells, including a Guilded Playing Card worth 400gp
  • While there, Gorrazar asks about the TOME OF CLEAR THOUGHTS, a book of legend that once helped Keryth get smarter (because clearly Oream was a Keyrth fan)
  • Oream is very cagey about it, but eventually reveals he has the TOME, but does not want to part with it. Waited 100 years to get it, and wants to keep it as part of his Keyrth collection.
  • Bord offers up his SVADRI Signed Scroll with the PROGRAMMED ILLUSION of Svadri's image and voice, which convinces Oream to trade the TOME
THINDRILINE MILITARY HQ STABLES
  • Buy 4 horses for the road
Long Rest for 9 days on the "Road to Tremorfall" into Denocc 20th, the morning before the FULL MOON   ROAD TO TREMORFELL
  • Uneventful 9 day trip, they took their time so Gorrazar could spend 6 consecutive days reading the TOME OF CLEAR THOUGHT
  • Gorrazar finished TOME OF CLEAR THOUGHT, increases his INT score by 2 (to 12), and the TOME disappears for the next 100 years
  • As they get closer to the Cambrey Valley, Copper Dragon regional effects begin to occur (which Da'ath recognizes), small rodents and birds speak in Draconic to them, and everything seems very funny and they all start giggling)
  • As they get close to Tremorfell they hit a forest and they abandon their horses so they can stealth in closer
  • Navaraz and Gael climb a tree to scout ahead, spout a cave beneath the town that might be a secret way in.
  • As the group moves to hide in an abandoned farm by the river that borders the town, Navarax and Gorrazar head in to scout
  • Immediately see dark cloud cover that completely covers the sun, meaning the Vampires can move freely, day or night

TREMORFALL

CAVERNS
  • Navarax and Gael explore, learn pretty quickly that the caves lead into some ruins, and what look like Catacombs that seem to run directly beneath the city
  • They discover a secret passage and a number of stairs leading UP, into the city
  • The rest of the party joins them and they soon find themselves using the lower, locked, hidden entrance to the TEMPLE OF TRUESIGHT
  • NAVARAX repeatedly fails at unlocking doors, but Gael is able to handle it every time
TEMPLE OF TRUESIGHT
  • The structure has lots of silver inlays and seems old but fancy, and lots of it is built with a beautiful PINK marble
  • They first enter a type of Sacristy, finding old vials stained with a blue narcotic that Gorrazar cannot decipher with his medicine checks
  • They head to the main chamber and find a massive circular tower with an altar in the middle, lots of symbols of eyes and quickly learn the name of the temple, imagery of portals to other dimensions, and that all the doors have been barred and locked.
  • While Bord flies around examining the city from the broken windows, explaining that there appears to be a radius of like 100 feet of open space between the tower and the city, he sees the commercial district to the southwest by the main gate, the residential sector to the northwest, and what looks like a Cathedral under construction to the northeast.
  • The group decides to unbar one of the doors and head to the Cathedral per the vision to the Queen's Unkindness about Aureon waiting for them there
CATHEDRAL TO AUREON
  • On the way to the Cathedral they pass through the Tremorfall cemetary, the most recent plot for someone named "Bearella" who apparently died defending Tremorfell from a great evil relatively recently
  • They arrive to the Cathedral that looks to be under construction and pass inside, finding a half elf named Leotorin, a cleric who explains he is actually from EBERRON
  • Leotorin is suprised they made it inside, as the Vampires cannot pass inside this Cathedral sanctuary, and welcomes them
  • He then spots GAEL, and asks if he is a Vedalken, explaining he was given instructions from Aureon should a Vedalken arrive there
  • He opens a secret door by pushing the RIGHT EYE of a sapphire statue of Aureon in human form, and a set of stairs appears below the statue, leading down into chamber built with PINK Marble similar to the Temple of Truesight
SECRET CHAPEL TO AUREON
  • inside the chamber at the bottom, they spot a wooden altar, and atop it, a silver bowl with an eye inscribed inside it, as well as a ceremonial dagger that seems to emanate darkness (many in the party recognize some of the symbology from the old visions of MAK'TI)
  • Inscribed on the altar in DRACONIC
To learn how to stop the Awakening, the blood of the eye must be sacrificed. Ekess yor svanoa ekess wolius wer awakening, wer mior di wer sidri zklaen qe schrediloma. IN DRACONIC
  • As the group debates what this could mean, wondering if they cannot use it without Mak'Ti, or if Gael needs to rip out his eye, Da'ath takes his weapon and cuts GAEL, dropping his blood into the bowl without asking the rest. He then places the bowl back on the altar, activating a secret drawer from which a tome (book) can be pulled out, a book that glows blue (more imagery from Mak'Ti visions)
  • As Gael opens the book (he does it 3 TIMES), they get THREE different passages with LORE DUMP INFO for the campaign (see below), which are read by a deep ominouis voice emanating from the book:
THE ORRERY OF THE WANDERER   The Orrery of the Wanderer was created by a renowned clockwork mage known only as Lottie. She crafted the relic as a means of tapping into the power of the planes, and to channel the divination and foretelling powers of the stars. But Lottie soon realized that her creation was far more powerful than she had intended. As it tapped into planar magic, the orrery began to manifest the darkness and malevolence inherent to some of the planes. Eventually, it would impress upon its owner a desire to open portals into the most cursed and dangerous worlds, including the Far Realm.   To prevent the orrery from ever being so used, Lottie scattered the components that powered it, secreting them across the world. But the orrery’s instinct for survival is strong, and its components have a way of inexorably coming together over decades or centuries, found by treasure hunters, stolen by monsters, found and stolen again — and moving closer to each other all the time. Until the day it drew the attention of the Veldaken Empire in the Astral Sea, who carefully gathered its pieces over a number of years.   For the next millennia the Orrery was kept as a Vedalken treasure in Lumengrad after they combined the various components, ignoring Lottie's scattering of them across the worlds. The Vedalken were careful to only use the artifact at utmost need, and only appointed the most trusted and wise mages to be it's keeper, little realizing the power of the Orrery was enough to corrupt even the most moral of personages.   The final Keeper of the Orrery of the Wanderer in Lumengrad was Judai'Aruk. Like many before him, it was not long before his heart was darkened by the corruption of the Orrery, but his power and knowledge was greater than all who came before him. Through the Orrery, Judai'aruk's mind was connected to terrible abominations beyond the known multiverse, eventually linking him to the dormant mind of the unnameable one who lay trapped on Terus. Judai'aruk's infected mind easily fell under the influence of his new dark master, and over the next few decades he worked on a plot for his master's release.   Eventually, Judai'ark's mastery of the Orrery seemed to weaken, and on his final trip to Terus it seemed to convulse, sending him across the Astral Sea and breaking the Orrery in 7 components. Knowing that the Orrery would be essential to his master's resurrection, Judai'Aruk began hunting down all the components scattered across the multi-verse, unaware that many pieces followed along its last known path, to the world of Terus and its connected planes.
 
  • Once he is finished, the text VANISHES, and the book pulses with more blue light, until Gael opens it again(same voice):
 
CLUE TO THE RITUAL LOCATION   Beneath the waters of Terus deep, An ancient evil remains asleep. Near grassy plains, and mountains steep. In ancient ruins his evil keeps. Guarded by a piscine race, Called "Devils" by some who see their face.   While madness and death spread in the millennia intervening, In his house at R'lyeh (rillyay), dead (voice drops out CTHULHU) waits dreaming.
 
  • Once he is finished, the text VANISHES, and the book pulses with more blue light. Gael opens it again (same voice):
 
TO SUNDER THE AWAKENING   Should the gods and heroes of Terus fail to prevent the Cabal from gathering their components and beginning their ritual, hope is not lost. The Draconic Prophecy speaks of one final chance in this encounter, though details are not known, aside from the fact that it will come at great cost. It is said that the Eye will know what to do in that moment, as he will be familiar with the type of ritual and sacrifices required (in fact, it was once used to save the same creature whose death is the final component to Awakening the unnameable one)   NOTE, an aspect of the unnameable one may remain to be dealt with, but its power will be considerably less.
  • Once he is finished, the text VANISHES, and the book lies dormant at last, its pages blank. (it can be used as a spellbook for a Wizard)
  • They write down all the info they can and then head back upstairs to speak to Leotorin
CATHEDRAL TO AUREON
  • Leotorin tells them the current situation in town, most people are in hiding in their homes or have fled the town. Most of the vampires are concentrated at the PRICELESS PIGEON INN
  • Leotorin has not heard of Lord Khonaheeto, and has no idea what he looks like
  • Leotorin gives them multiple vials of Holy Water to help against the vampires
  • As they strategize, Da'ath calls his broom to himself across the town
  • Almost immediately afterword, a note appears on the Cathedral door from Lord Khonaheeto, welcoming them to town and thanking them for announcing themselves with the flying broom. He invites them to the Priceless Piegon Inn for a drink and "to talk"
  • They decide to take him up on his invitation
THE BATTLE OF THE PRICELESS PIGEON INN
  • They arrive and find the Inn deserted, and head inside to find a large table with a single, plain Harengton sitting at it, waiting for them.
  • Da'ath immediately beheads the creature before anyone can speak
  • Lord Khonaheeto's voice booms from all around them, chiding them for killing his messenger, saying he only wanted a drink and they only wanted violence
  • He speaks about Tremorfell being a place where the barriers between realms was especially thin, and all manner of creatures could cross over easily, voluntarily or against their will. Including some creatures that often guard cemetaries, and hunt people that wield extraordinary magic abilities and have a number of magic object.
  • They hear rumbling footsteps approaching, as Gael steps outside the main door and spots a TOMB TAPPER approaching
  • He is then attacked by a number of hidden Vampires (and Kuniculai Vampires) who were laying in wait, just barely managing to get his SUNLIGHT spell up to hinder the vampires and help the party
  • MASSIVE battle, 6 Vampires (Lord Khonaheeto, 2 Kuniculai Vampires, 1 Vampie Warriors, and 2 Vampire spawns) and 1 Tomb Tapper VERSUS the Black Tear
  • Bord, throwing around the most magic, distracts the Tomb Tapper and keeps it occupied for most of the battle while the rest of the party deals with the Vampires, eventually falling but not before taking the creature on a spectacular chase
  • Both Navarax and Gorrazar are briefly charmed into working for the Vampires, but Gorrazar easily breaks out of the spell, while Navarax is freed when Da'ath kills the vampires who casts it
  • In a RAGE, Navarax goes on the offensive, killing many enemies and dealing A LOT of damage.
  • Lord Khonaheeto stays invisible for a lot of the battle, throwing out spells and causing disruption until he appears to attack Gael who keeps putting up the Sunlight spell
  • Eventually Lord Khonaheeto and the vampires fall, and the group just has the Tomb Tapper to deal with
  • They finally put the Tapper down, and while very damaged and hurt, the group is all alive and successful
SESSION ENDS around 3pm on Denocc 20th, after Vampire battle in Tremorfall.
  • That night VRAE will become a WERERAVEN (expand on this - have Queen reach out saying Khonaheeto was a fine test of her skills, but now her true quest begins as she is needed to save Terus)

JUDAI'ARUK'S NEW PLAN

  • JUDAI'ARUK Taking Control of the Cabal of Cthulhu
  • T'nin defects to Judai'aruk, having regained his memories, bringing the Vedalken the bottle of LUKAS HELVIIREN, who T'nin overheard speaking about his master, the Djinn Genie Keth. They torture Lukas and get the location of Keth, and they head to EXPA to demand wishes from her, bringing the might of the Cabal alongside them.
  • (THIS WILL TAKE SOME TIME)
  • At first Judai'aruk wishes for Cthulu to be awoken and freed, but not even Keth has that power. Next, he wishes for all the recombined ORRERY of the WANDERER, which she reluctantly grants him, massively weakening herself in order to save LUKAS's life. The half drow escapes, but not before he sees Judai'aruk kill Keth in her weakened state, having used so much power to gather and reconstitute the remaining pieces of the Orerry.
  • Next he sets his sight on the KRAKEN SKULL in front of the YAW SHIP
  • Next he finds the mortat remains of DREW SCROLL, intent on raising him from the dead using the ROD OF RESURRECTION stolen by the X-CULTISTS from the Cathedral to Boldrei in BOLUDO, so he can cast the MASS RAISE DEAD spell he created over 100 years ago
  • Next, he sets RENARD to find Eldath and STEAL THE CARAFE, fulfilling the VISION
  • Next, he sends the ABISHAI to Magiault to Steal the POWER STONE, using the EYE OF MAK'TI to guide them to it
  • Next he has GAULDENAL kidnap Baldir the Bold for the sacrifice
  • Finally, he he has the Mind Flayers bring him a parasite, and he becomes an ELDRITCH LITCH to perform the ceremony Eldritch-lich
  • Then he sets the TRAP
  • T'NIN can decide during the battle/ritual whether to help his old allies or not

THE TRAP TO KEEP FORCES OF TERUS AT BAY

  • Mind Flayers invade DOMUNZ, with World Brain touching down on Obreriault with main assault force (keep Magiault, Miraxilim and Obreriault at bay)
  • Aboleth forces invades the Nalied Sea, attacking the smaller islands while Main Force attacks Chalinos
  • Tiamat sends army of Abishai and dragons through portal to Abyss near CHALINOS to attack Tufunes (keep Chalinos and Thindriline at bay)
  • Malar's Hunters attack Eldath once more (along with Grey Dragon)
  • Undead Armies rise up in the WASTELANDS, heading for populace centers already decimated by SECOND ELEMENTAL WARS
  • Eldritch Horrors reveal themselves from their gathering points in the Nalied Desert, striking at Llegosert, Palm Point, and Nomadic Tribes
