BASICS

• Henry's Bard Earth Genasi from a One-Shot
• Known for playing drums, speaking in Kiwi accent (Taika-ish), and his hit song "Rock Hard Banging"
• Last seen in the "Cave Inn" in Twin Falls in Session 0.5.

NEW BACKSTORY (missing original backstory)

Was once part of a troupe of Genasi Bards named the Charismatic Crooners of Chalinos, which often breaks up and gets back together again. After the latest split with the group, Rhokabol spent some time in the city of Twin Falls in Orrocid, playing music at various inns and taverns, before heading home to the city of Oreton (main city of the Earth Genasi Kingdom on Orrocid). He lost many of the money and wondrous weapons he had earned along the way, trading some for food and shelter, and losing most of the rest gambling in a Tabaxi Casino. The only item he held onto was a magic drum, the Rhythm-Maker's Drum, as it enhanced his drum playing.   After learning that the Crooners were gathering once more in Domunz, Rhokabol began to slowly make his way back across the continent, his last stop being the town of Dew Cork near Lake Urda, where he made little money but did enjoy the local cuisine.   Afterwards as he traveled through the plains of Tufenes toward Chalinos, he was enveloped in a strange mist, which cleared as he approached what appeared to be a moderate size house, dilapidated and falling into ruin. With more mists covering the path, and a thunderstorm raining down upon him, Rhokabol headed toward the house looking for refuge.   Once inside he saw a party seemed to be in sway, the guests not seeming to mind the dirty and rundown nature of the dwelling. He sensed something was amiss, but was immediately spotted by a partygoer who recognized him and begged him to play for the party. His pride being what it was, Rhokabol loved the attention and immediately set to playing, having no idea what he had just walked into...

CAMPAIGN 3

• Fleeing Oroccid when the Genasi War finally got to Oreton, Rhokabol has been wandering through Tufenes looking for purpose, missing his home and fellow Earth Genasi, while also wondering if he might run into any members of his old band, the Charismatic Crooners of Chalinos, as the cities around Tufenes were some of their old stomping grounds.
• One night while playing a particularly excellent set in Chalinos, Rhokabol is approached by a tall hooded figure, who beckons off-stage for a private conversation. Not sure whether he is beging propositioned for a gig or sex work (though he would say yes to either, he needed the gold),
• Rhokabol is completely thrown off when the being throws back his hood and reveals a smiling dragonborn face. It is then that Rhokabol notices the clasp of the hood appears to be 2 crossed SPOONS, and he immediately realizes this must be the famous Dragonborn Bard, Svadri.
• Svadri confirms this, saying that he has also heard of Rhokabol and his drum talents, and that he once saw a show of the full Charismatic Crooners together back in the day. However, he has asked to speak to Rhokabol because he needs a favor, and he knows he can trust a fellow bard to get it done.
• Svadri had been summoned to a meeting of the famous "DEATH JOINTS," who apparently were reforming to help fight against the recent invasion of Mind-Flayers in Obreriault and the dragons taking over Magiault. They had asked for Svadri to join them, and he had been on his way, but he just received word that his skills were needed elsewhere. He asks Rhokabol to go in his stead and give the Death Joints the news that Svadri will not be joining.
• "Can't you just...you know, do a sending spell or something?" Rhokabol had asked.
• To which Svadri replied, "Well my secondary hope is that you might be an acceptable replacement as a bard for their troupe. You may need to prove yourself to them, but I have faith in you."
• "Really?"
• "Sure. Also I don't have a lot of other options right now."
• And with that he gives Rhokabol the location of the meeting (deep in the Great Nilos Wood), and heads out.
• Rhokabol thought long and hard, but knew he had already agreed, and he wasn't a stranger to adventures himself, and had more than few tricks up his sleeve. So off he went, hoping he wasn't getting in over his head...
