Keyrth Trakai
POST C2 HISTORY
- Keyrth, following the legends of old, set sale for Eberron after C2, assuming that it was on the same plane of existence/planet as Domunz.
- After months on the ocean, they hit a particularly foggy area, where the sea churned and not even Keyrth's druidic magic could calm the waters or clear away the thick haze. Days later, as the skies cleared, when night fell Keyrth looked up to find the stars were entirely different than the ones above Domunz, even spotting 12 moons in orbit around the planet, as well as what appeared to be a ring circling the world. He also realized he felt it was all very familiar, and he felt at home for the first time since awakening in the Nalied Desert. He realized they had passed through some sort of hidden planar gate, and were now on Eberron.
- Spent 100 years getting to know his home, learning the history of what had happened in the millennia he was gone, and learning the way of Eberronian Artificing magic. None knew him and he felt like a bit of an outcast, but there was much to learn and he and Onsyx were very intrigued to see the status Warforged now held, treated as equals at last.
- He did his best to keep in touch with the Death Joints, especially Alphanis (and Reylee occasionally), though his sending spells did not always work (due to them "TECHNICALLY" being on different planes of existence, though bridged by the planar rift). At first, birds returned to Domunz with tales of Keyrth, but over decades they become few, and then stopped due to distance and travelling across planes of existence. Worst, the people of Eberron had forgotten about the Planar Rift to Domunz a long time ago, and Keryth was only slowly piecing together where it could be, as he had no means of travelling back across the planes (and no tuning fork attuned to Domunz for anyone who knew the Plane Shift spell)
- However, when the day came that Keyrth learned of the "assassination" of Alphanis, knowing there was danger stirring in Domunz, he gathered his Knock (comprised most of the young (of-age) descendants of his original Knock wanting to meet up with the Acolytes of Keyrth (AoK) on Terus they had heard about in a long ago message from Terus, druids who had taken on Keyrth's mission to protect the forest and stop necromantic/evil forces in Terus) and vowed to find his way back to Domunz, taking off in brand new Eberron ships, with Keyrth hoping Boldrei would guide his path back.
- However, before his ships launched, Keyrth was secretly visited by an emissary of the dragons of Argonnessen, who summon him to a private meeting. There, they tell him they see signs of a branch in the draconic Prophecy. Images and portends that do not seem to be anywhere on Eberron, and they suspect they might apply to the continent of Domunz on Terus.
- They warn Keyrth that this branch looks to threaten not only life on Eberron and Terus, but far beyond. There are signs of an ancient evil long forgotten, far older and more terrible than even the most ancient dragons on Argonness.
- Keyrth asks for guidance, and they provide him a vision of location of the Planar Rift, knowing he will be needed for events to come on Terus. As he turns to leave, they reveal more:
The dark entity needs a VESSEL, and will do everything in its power to push this vessel to become the cradle for his will and abilities. For centuries, though his physical form has lain dormant, His insatiable mind has been active, sowing falsities throughout Terus, even to his own allies: making demands about rituals and implanting prophecies and dreams to drive anyone necessary toward his true, mad desires. Yet hope is not lost, for like in all things, you cannot have darkness without light. And while this dark vessel was being groomed, fate and forces beyond our understand were also prepping a champion to oppose the entity. One who will be marked by the gods of Eberron, with boons from the gods of Terus and Faerun and scores of other worlds. And though in mortal form he may be an ally of the dark vessel, once ascended the champion will become His greatest adversary. However, should the Champion choose not to destroy our enemy, all would be lost. The vessel would be consumed entirely by the dark power, who would then merge with the champion, ending the age of all civilizations. [as they finish speaking, Keyrth feels a hand on his forehead] Keyrth's vision goes black, before he sees a tome, potentially sacred, though on closer inspection it seems to morph into a polished spellshard which Keyrth recognizes as an Eberronian design, and he can see blue energy emanating from it. Next to it is a dark and shadowy five-foot wooden spear adorned with multicolored beads, leather straps and feathers, all the various colors appearing drained and muted, sinister in the vision's light. As Keyrth watches the tome twists and morphs briefly into a blue-skinned humanoid he does not recognize before becoming an avatar of Aureon, who then turns to face his adversary- a gargantuan twisted, tentacled creature that had burst out of the wooden spear, the majority of its mass hidden in shadows, massive black feathers littering the ground around it. In the background, the city of Obreriault was burning, and the skies over Domunz were blood red.
- Knowing the severity of the mission, Keyrth immediately set out for Domunz.
- Keyrth and his First Knock (leader of the Knock) arrived back in Domunz stealthily, meeting up with Glubglar far from Obrer City in a secret SPEER station in the Great Nilos Wood, the gnome having taking a day off from ruling in Alphanis's stead to come meet his old friend Glubglar caught him up on Alphanis' true state (essence transferred to new clone form, one of Alphanis's many "back-up" plans, and not the first time he's done this either, hence his longevity), and bade Keyrth and his Knock to join their efforts to protect the King and find his attacker.
- With Keyrth and his Knock agreeing to help protect the King, Keyrth learns more about a group that had spring up in the past 100 years known as the Acolytes of Keyrth, devotees to his way who wanted to continue his work to protect the lands of Terus, encouraged and helped in their founding by Reylee. He contacts them and asks them to look for clues and hunt down whoever attacked Alphanis, and would benefit from the King being dead
- He meets and saves the Black Tear in Cloudscape, introducing himself and sharing information, and keeps tabs on the group as he is particularly interested in both the blue-skinned Wizard in the group itself, Mal'Ti, and their blue-skinned adversary, Judai'aruk, remembering the alien from his vision. When he learns of the death of Mak'Ti, he focused his attention on Judai'aruk, remembering the words about the champion being an "ally of the vessel" which would make sense as Judai'aruk seemed to be working directly with the Cabals and the cults.
- Soon enough he starts to learn more about the Orrery and its connection to Terus and Judai'aruk, and then joins SPEER to help where possible when the Genasi war breaks out. He grieves quietly when the Black Tear inform him about Reylee's passing, returning alone to TREMORFALL to recover her body, relieved that the Abishae had fled by that time, though fully prepared to avenge his friends should he encounter their slime.
- As more information starts to come in from all of SPEERs sources (including the Black Tear) Cthulhu and his cults and plots, Keyrth continually tries to remain objective and piece together what is actually going on, knowing what the Dragons had told him about the dark entity sowing falsities to distract from his true purpose. When he learns from the Black Tear about a "ritual" that is needed to resurrect the great old one, he is immensely suspicious, as it sounds like just the sort of ruse to distract allies and enemies, a scavenger hunt to keep everyone moving and fighting.
- Sadly, few were capable of listening to Keyrth at that time, not even Alphanis who insisted this was another cut and dry, simple bad guy to be killed. And since Keyrth feared speaking of the prophecy (knowing doing so could put the Prophecy into motion, or make things worse), he could not properly explain to his friends why he had such strong suspicions.
- And so, when the assault on Terus began, and Glubglar messaged to tell Alphanis that Obreriault had fallen to a Mindflayer invasion, only a handful days after Magiault had fallen to a draconic invasion, Keyrth KNEW the time was near, endgame was at hand. "Obrerialt is burning."
- So when Alphanis decided to gather the Death Joints and go find/ help the Black Tear directly, Keyrth was ready. He only hoped they weren't too late...

DRACONIC PROPHECY
- Told by Emissary of Eberron High Dragons about a branch of the prophecy outside of Eberron
- Warning that a Draconic Mark would be emblazoned on one of destiny, whose actions could alter the Draconic Prophecy and potentially bring about a dark end for the multiverse, that would shatter the existing prophecy if not checked
- The destined one would be among a group of beings who have within their power the ability to bring about an age of sheer and utter madness and ruination on the multiverse, or prevent it from occurring
- The Dragons were utterly terrified of what this destined one and his allies were tied up in, an ancient being beyond any horrors currently seeping from the Far Realm. Their ancient creator and progenitor, who was cast down by the combined might of all the gods of the multiverse (light and dark, all feared this being) working together, wiping out legions of their forces and many of the Highest Gods, whose names and lore have been lost to time. One of the Original and mightiest of the Great Old Ones. So frightened of his resurgence that the gods created a world to imprison him upon, a world that was supposed to be severed from all other realms.
- The Day of Mourning was the day Eberron broke through to this world, this Terus, and the dormant power awakened there, just by connecting to Eberron, spread a mist through the mightiest kingdom of Eberron, destroying the kingdom, mutilating its inhabitants into horrors and Aberrations akin to its creations in the Far Realm. It has taken millennia for the Dragons to realize what happened, what they awoke. And now it might be too late.
