Elyria

CAMPAIGN 3

• Elyria has focused much of her energies in the past century on her personal life, with her on-again, off-again relationship with Glibglub, raising their son Lukas, and doing trying to maintain her friendships with the other Death Joint members on the surface through SPEE, and later, SPEER.
• Though she and Glibglub appear to finally be done, she had hopes that Lukas wasn't scarred too badly by the relationship, though his odd choice to take on Keth the Djinni as his patron so he could be a Warlock like she used to be did make her worry. Especially now that she did not have powers of her own since the Anachime Sudex left Domunz 100 Years ago.
• Hence why, on top of her judicious training to be a rogue, she also in later years started quietly reading some Wizard tomes and collecting some spells in a spellbook, knowing having a least a little connection to the Weave could come in handy, especially if Lukas and SPEER ever needed that side of her again.
• Which of course happened when Alphansis was "assasssinated," which she quickly learned was not that big a deal, after Keyrth returned and the remaining Death Joints reconvened and Glubglar (who was temporarily ruling Obreriault since the King's death), informed them that Alphanis had some sort of Ritual for duplicating his body and sending his essence from one form to another in place already...
• Fricking necromancers.
• And then things really got cooking with a Genasi War starting up in Oroccid despite the best efforts of SPEER to slow it down, that new Black Tear group running around telling everyone about Cabals of Cults and the return of Cthulhu... but none of that mattered to her until LUKAS got caught up in their hijinks, and was kidnapped by a former Black Tear member named T'nin.
• She immediately began her crusage to find her son, at first with Glibglub, who was later replaced by a volunteering Galdunel, who had reasoned at the time that his magic abilities would be more helpful to her. (she had NO IDEA Galdunel was a fucking traitor, and he was HIGH on her list of people to kill currently, especially since he was putting a black smear on the memory of his Uncle, Lukengauld, who had been their close friend 100 years ago)
• So with the rat by her side, it was no wonder she couldn't find Lukas, until the Black Tear found him at Keth's old hide-out on Expa. Once she got the message she rushed to Lukas's side, finding him resolute in his new mission to guard the portal to LIMBO now that Keth had been murdered. Elyria called for help from Zyn to aid in her son's quest, a few handpicked members of her elite team, the Helviiryn's Hands, and was content to remain by his side until she heard of the dragons taking over Magiault, quickly followed by the Mindflayer assault and take-over of Obreriault, and rumors of similar assaults all over Terus.
• She realized very quickly these were all COORDINATED attacks, designed to weaken the defenses of Terus and keep everyone distracted, and was not at all surprised when she was contacted by Alphanis and Keyrth, who had also come to the same conclusions as her, and knew it was time for the Death Joints to come together and see if they could find and help the Black Tear, who apparently had been on the right path all along. She only hoped that together, they would find a way to stop this madness...
