Andrea Scrollage

Distant cousin of Drew Scroll.   Ancestor of Scrollage Family members who left Magiault to found Chalinos, cursing that side of the family when making 8 Protection Stones of Chalinos with Forbidden Knowledge.   Can be found in Academy in Doreduum.   Does not care for Scroll family history, most Scrollages do not associate with Scrolls or Chalinos, and do not travel there.   Early 20s, immensely powerful, though few suspect the quiet female scholar of it. Has spent most of her life in study of the arcane, hoping to one day join the Concilium of Mages.   Her great power and ability is a large part of what drew Ryker's attention.   HATES the SPEE Society for perpetuating the story of DREW SCROLL and the Scroll name's involvement, which everyone knows her family is a part of. Her hatred actually drove her down a dark path, and actually brought her closer to her own FAMILY HISTORY, as it drew the attention of the bound Ryker Lich, who used what power she had to REACH OUT to Andrea, and slowly draw her down to the crypts. Ryker felt the familial power, and the lingering curse still on the Scrollage line due to their creating the Chalinos Protection Stones. She saw another chance.   Andrea was reluctant at first, but then Ryker told her about the Scrollage family past, and that she had helped them create the Chalinos Protection Stones. Slowly Andrea borrowed some of Ryker's knowledge, with Ryker feeding her anger against SPEE, speaking of her own remorse, having learned a lot in her millennia trapped in the crypts, and understanding her punishment, never asking to be freed, merely to "help," and never clarifying that she was a full Lich now, and Andrea never suspected. She agreed that the SPEE society should just let what Drew Scroll did go, wipe it from history so Andrea's family name does not go down in ruin after all the good they had done, and it was unfair that she was suffering for her cousin's mistakes.   She told Ryker she wanted revenge, and Ryker cleverly told her NOT to seek revenge, for that was Drew Scroll's path, and in it lay darkness. BUT, she said perhaps she could teach the SPEE society a lesson. Intrigued, Andrea went off and did some research, studying the new SPEE Grand HQ and all within, and was disgusted to learn that her aunt and uncle were among the stoned people trapped in the memorial hall. She found a spell for creating STONED CURSED, and begged Ryker to help teach her how it could be done, saying she would teach them a mild lesson, turning them to stone "temporarily" with a small trap, and warning them to drop the Scroll name from their museums.   Ryker "reluctantly" helped her, always telling her to be careful not to go too far, but coaxing the young woman along the dark path. In passing she mentioned something about "too bad Drew himself wasn't a Deathlock, that would be a fine was to teach SPEE a lesson about needing to forget old enemies," and as Ryker suspected, Andrea immediately researched everything she could about Deathlocks, and had Ryker help her through the rituals and spells to summon the spirit of her cousin into a new Deathlock form, and bind it to Andrea as her master, putting Andrea firmly on the path of a Necromancer, much like her cousin, and just as Ryker intended.   And then Andrea left to set her trap, her Deathlock in tow, though Ryker knew Andrea's power's were far too limited and she had crafted a pale imitation of Drew Scroll, who would pose no real threat to any SPEE members. But the young woman was firmly in her thrall now, and it was only a matter of time until she would be even more useful to Ryker. Until then, Ryker would help her enact her revenge against the SPEE any way she could.   And with Ryker's help, Andrea would cause A LOT of trouble for the SPEE society.   She fell deeper and deeper into Ryker's control, especially when her more innocent attempts at hurting SPEE failed. Little did she know that Ryker had been working in secret (using Andrea's magic and connection to the outside world) to organize a group called Paracettus to wipe out SPEE, reaching out to its members in dreams to ramp up their hatred of SPEE.   Of late, after learning about the dissident Paracettus assassins in Miraxalim pissed off about a SPEE HQ, Andrea recruits them to her cause, not knowing they were already working with Ryker. They put explosive runes in all the SPEE HQ's, most in the Main HQ using the statues SPEE retrieved from Andrea as a cover for bringing them in. Andrea did not know how she felt about all of SPEE being blown up, but she never believed they were all gone.   By this point she has fallen mostly under Ryker's influence, and her hatred for the remnants of SPEE, and the Loving Spoonfuls especially, has grown immense. Knowing Paracettus are assassins, she sends them out to wipe out any more SPEE members that might be alive. After failing to take out Saphielle in Miraxalim, and learning about potential SPEE members that are helping Saphielle, (same group that took out her Deathlock so easily), Andrea asks Ryker to teach her the DREAD FORM of their pact so she can join the Paracettus on their next attack.   Paracettus meanwhile has made an alliance with Xinjev to help wipe out the Deathjoints, and he has been feeding them information from his scrying, including knowledge that SPEE members are still alive, and at the Monastery (whose location Xinjev told them from his scry), causing the group to start making their way to the mountains to attack, Andrea meeting them at the pass where they spotted the White Dragon. She is making plans on how to deal with it when the Death Joints arrive, and walk right through it, figuring out it is an illusion. She and Paracettus make their way inside, going carefully as they sense other attackers making moves (not knowing Goblins, Xinjev and Onsyx were also heading inside, having converged and waited at the Monastery for the Death Joints).   Now when the attack happens, her primary mission will be to take out any SPEE/ Loving Spoonful members she can find, allowing the assassins and hunters to distract the Death Joints till she completes her mission.   *NOTE - she still does not consider the Death Joints actual SPEE members, so they are of little concern to her, being mere mercenaries who always have bounties on their heads
