With a cream cover, corded binding, and red ink the Book of the Called has a striking appearance. Its true nature is far more vile than its pleasing appearance suggests.
Notes of the Man with Many Faces
The Book of the Called seems to be a mighty relic of communications. Names can be inscribed into the parchment, written in blood, resulting in a pulse of magic being sent out. Where this magic goes is still unknown.
The book also has the function to scry out those on its pages. However, once the person named has died (seldom naturally) their name slowly fades from the pages leaving room for another to be added.
