Percival Fagioli

Percival's parents opted for Pureline Augmentation, and so Percy was born an indentured servant with a contract to General Manufacturing. After the standard battery of tests Percy was sent to GM Corporate University, where he scored passably in most of his classes, making him a dedicated generalist. Like most GMCU alumni, Percy was lent to other corporations to learn (and steal) what he could and when he was seen of not much more use entered into the GM Army for the remainder of his indenture period. He achieved the rank of Medic Corpsman 1st Class.   Upon the age of 50 Percy mustered out and was given a middle-management position, mostly handling contracts with freelancer engineers out in the rim. This was not a plum assignment; he was considered nothing more than a vaguely useful asset, fit to deal with the eccentrics and to wallow in his lack of corporate ambition. For a while this suited him fine until one of his contacts developed a prototype working, cheap, and repairable candlegun. General Manufacturing ordered him to get the prototype by any means necessary, as it would greatly improve the strength of the GM army.   Before he could acquire the candlegun on Aphrodite Primus he found himself sharing an elevator ride with the hunter Chevalier Sikkah Notte, who was tracking down the errant engineer. The two took an instant liking with each other and Sikkah agreed to let Percy walk away with the candlegun... but also pointed out three important facts.   The first: The engineer was being paid millions for his prototype.   The second: Percy was getting almost nothing for delivering it, just a 'well done' on the year-end evaluation.   The third: Sikkah could probably beat him to death on the spot and take both.   After some consideration Percy took the candlegun and walked out of Aphrodite Primus with Sikkah, starting his new career as a freelancer in the Hundred Polities.

Percy is highly educated and as a GMCU graduate has a well-rounded education. He knows the NEB intimately, is a talented accountant, and has approximately 30 years of field medic experience.   Notable skills: Guns [Candlegun]; Medicine [Combat Aid]   Notable subskills: Knowledge [Accountancy]; Knowledge [New Economic Block]

Current Freelancer Reliability Index rating provisional. Few contracts on file; all rate operative highly but must be balanced against betraying original employer and possible internalized revulsion of Neo-Humanity. Expenditures worrisome; sources suggest Percy has visited multiple gene-clinics since the beginning of ihs new career.   Last contract: Operated as back-up for an assassin on Hundred Polities world of Orcappy, an ocean planet. IDed potential hideouts for the delphinid dictator, Manu the Bloody, based on construction budgets. Covered assassin's back during the final chase and patched up survivors of the assassination team. Took agreed-upon payment with no complaints. Assassination team lead remarked Percy was not receptive to extended employment, as Percy wished to remain closer to Jewels of De Mairan space.
