Freedivers

Assets
There are two engineers on the Freedivers who have designed most of the weapons and tools used by the freelancer group. The Freedivers prefer high-powered automatic rifles, flamethrowers, and thrown explosives. They all also have a special drone-harness designed to allow them to jump from high orbit and make pinpoint landings if necessary. Many of them also possess ECM equipment and stealth technology so they can avoid getting shot out of the sky.
The Mercutio is a swift corvette modified to allow the Freedivers to jump from orbit. It sacrifices pure armor for engine power and stronger weapons. The twin airlocks are also oversized, designed to hold up to four heavily armed Freedivers each. The airlocks are additionally modified to vent their contents towards the underside of the ship, keeping Freedivers from ejecting in the wrong direction.
History
According to official records, the Freedivers were a motley crew of New Economic Block explorer-commandos, Neo-Human thrillseekers, and frontier smugglers hired to rescue the husband of a New Economic Block CEO. To their surprise despite their numerous issues with each other they found they worked extremely well with little practice. After some discussion and the amicable splitting of millions of credits, the surviving members got to thinking: what if we made a company?
The Freedivers have come a long way from their first mission. Though they currently only number seven individuals, they've become experts of the smash-and-grab and rescue operation. Savvy investments and a growing reputation have gained them numerous clients and even a jump-capable corvette, the Mercutio. Their current commander is the lagomorph Vera Bean, one of the original team members and their resident demolitions expert.
Their most recent exploit involved rescuing another freelancer band stuck behind enemy lines on Tempestus XI. The local heavystorms had pinned them in place right in the middle of a major NEB offensive, forcing them to search for safety in a former NEB command bunker. They managed to signal the Freedivers for help. The Freedivers waited until the exact moment that the storm abated enough to land and came down guns blazing, extracting the other freelancers and taking off before the NEB forces could recover.
