The dungeon underneath the ground
The party members have escaped the stone room where they awoke. They emerge through the revealed arch into a dark, damp hallway. A chill runs down the spine of each them as they cross the threshold into the shadows. An unnerving silence lingers around the group, making the darkness even more alien.
Once the party travels through the doorway, they can choose to navigate through the darkness. They will travel forward until reaching a small wooden door. There is a small knocker on the door, a metal serpent coiled in a circle. Upon using said knocker, the door will swing open slowly, revealing another small room with two pairs of chains lining each wall. Through the darkness, you can make out another door in the far end of the room, and a dark shape slumped against the wall.
The party can approach this shape to reveal a new character (either PC or NPC). They are not chained up, but unconscious and weak, being trapped in the room for an indeterminate amount of time. They arrived in Hadarac shortly before the party did, and ended up in the same place as the group, but had been stuck in the room due to the door in the far end.
Once the party approaches the door, they will see that there is another knocker on the far door, the same as what appeared before getting into this room. There will be a strange, deep voice, that pierces the minds of all of the players. The voice is low and slick, slithering through their thoughts. The voice will say, "Greetings travellers, time has long passed since footsteps marred these halls. Continue on through the door, you are near to the exit. There may be more danger ahead, so remain alert, but you must find me quickly. You are all in grave danger." An image of the Blood Gulch will flash through their minds, pointing them towards their destination. "Go, hurry, time is of the essence."
