Thasseus

Description

Thasseus is often seen as the genius leader of the Triton pantheon. He is energetic, charismatic, and powerful. He is responsible for creating glowfronds for the Triton people, as well as creating the first Triton sorcerers.  

Appearance

Thasseus appears as a handsome, bearded, older Triton man. He has the lower half of an octopus, and his body changes its color and patterns to suit Thasseus's whims.  

Personality

Thasseus is charismatic, intelligent, and a bit arrogant. He has a glowing smile and booming voice. He values creativity and ingenuity, but also has a tendency to think that all of his ideas are good ideas. He is most interested in the unique and new creations of mortals, be they magical or mundane. He often sends his angels to inspire and assist mortals, and gets frustrated by monotony and listlessness. He has a tendency to go overboard with things, putting too much energy and resources into things too early, and tends to get burnt out as a result.  

Worship

Worship of Thasseus is incredibly common among artists and craftsmen, and many attribute their work to his influence. Shrines to Thasseus can be found in schools, workshops, and even in public squares where the average citizen can pray to him for a spark of genius or a fresh idea. He is often seen as an essential energetic force in Triton society, and his name is often invoked during elections in Parthenian senates. Clerics of Thasseus tend to wear shining chains of metal on their bodies, and preach that artistic expression is an essential component of life that motivates all others.
