Gya'ang Golem
In the Saltook Elven tradition, powerful or notable families construct gya'ang as both protection and a mark of status. The gya'ang is carefully carved from a tree trunk, imbued with multiple animal spirits to give it life, and taught the lore of the family it exists to serve. Gya'ang can usually be found standing guard outside the homes of their families, cutting an impressively vertical silhouette. As many Saltook warriors are called upon to defend the Elven Confederacy, those families they have left behind have taken to crafting more and more gya'ang for protection, eroding the gya'ang's position as a status symbol somewhat.
In combat, gya'ang are fearsome melee defenders able to fend off multiple attackers with ease. They struggle however to pursue ranged assailants - a job typically left to the warriors of their home while the gya'ang protect the backline and flank.
