Exodus Project

The Exodus project started with an expedition through the Dragonax system and into what the Architect called the fifth Universe, or Exodus. The initial goal was simply to scout and document whatever was found on the other side and report back. Sadly the first expedition never returned and so the project was halted for some time, whilst a investigation could be made of the first expeditions disappearance. No solid information was found and so the project was about to be abandoned when the Architect claimed to have insight into the matter. According to him the expedition team had made it safely to the other side, but must simply by unable to report back.   It was by his orders another expedition was assembled and sent through the Exodus Omega wormhole. This second expedition was able to send a small buoy back to the Dragonax system with a detailed report on the immediate area of the wormhole. They had found the first expedition ship and much like Architect had said they were fine and had just suffered technical malfunctions during their jump through the wormhole. They could also report something profound back. The Templars who had ventured to Exodus could not feel the force. It was completely cut off to them which caused some concern. When the two ships returned to the normal universe however they could once again feel Ashlan and Bogan, sparking the theory of a living force that was contained to our universe alone and bound by a greater power. With both expeditions fine and the initial reports claiming a peaceful and relatively safe space the Exodus project escalated.   The council of seven ordered for three colony ships to be built. The Exodus project would see Ordo outposts in the Exodus galaxy to secure a new foothold far out of the reach of their enemies. The construction of three large modular ships were ordered from the Veefshya Shipyard and word spread quickly in the order that volunteers for a colony project was wanted. After only two years the ships were ready and nine thousand volunteers were ready to embark. Although most of the colonists were civilians some of which had only recently been relocated or otherwise saved by the Ordo, several Crusaders had also volunteered to joint his new project, wanting to be the first to start the new world in Exodus.   During the organizing of the colony ships another two scouting expeditions had been launched, and more information became available on the Exodus universe. Two planets and a moon was selected for colonization with plans of creating great cities and strongholds. The Idea behind the Exodus project was split in two. On the one side it was considered a potential refuge, a last resort should all else fail in our universe. It could provide somewhere to evacuate to if need be and as they understood it was unknown to the rest of the known universe. On the other side, this new universe provided room to grow and expand, to learn more about everything and to give the Ordo a space of their own. What was most curious of course was the absence of the force in this universe, making many Crusaders nervous about it, yet curiosity got the better of them and many were curious what this greater power that might exist out there might be.   Reports from the exodus project stops with the end of the third Crusade. For years supplies and manpower was sent and all indications are that the Exodus project must have been somewhat successful although the current status is unclear. Very little documentation has survived and with the fall of the order at between the third and fourth crusade no direct communications exist between Exodus and the known universe. Even the location of Dragonax systems is currently unknown making any travel to Exodus impossible.
