Harrow's Hill

Harrow's hill is a small hamlet on the northern side of the mountains on Kanae. Though it is a small village, its inhabitance hide a huge secret.

Points of interest

The well at the centre of town is over 3 meters wide and made of muddy brown bricks, they hide the mystery at the bottom as the bricks fade into darkness, grey wispy  smoke rises up in small puffs. Hiding at the bottom of the well, a beautiful fiery red and orange dragon lurks, hidden from mortal eyes, the eternal beast has been slumbering for millennia. Without waking or stirring. The inhabitance  protect this dragon with their lives for anyone who would wake it would destroy the world.

Architecture

The small number of inhabitance of Harrow's Hill live in less than 50 cabins. They are arranged in the shape of an octogram surrounding a large well, 3 meters wide. The cabins are mostly 3 stories tall with one below ground, there are dark mud brown walls, with grated windows. the roofs are of slate and shards of metal.

Geography

Harrow's hill is nestled in between the largest mountains of Kanae on a relatively small hill, the closest river is over 50 miles away on the far side of the range. The way the citizens get there water isn't the well either, they dig into the mountain, where they found an underground water store which can support their tiny population. The grass is of a luscious green with specks of yellow, the lack of pollution allows trees to thrive and animals to roam around without any restriction.   The mountains surrounding the village are sheer and their grey and black rock juts out sharply at odd angles, the rocks have the serrated texture of a million knives, sharpened to a deadly point. The harsh winds have shaped these rocks over thousands of years, and in turn this valley has been called the sinkhole of a thousand lives. From the top of the mountains it looks as if nothing is there until you step next to the edge and the hole comes into view as a grey chasm fading in to blackness, no wonder this village is basically unknown to any outsiders.
