    The Rise of Imagination

    The rise of the humanoids. Giants and dragons wanted to try their hand at crafting intelligent creatures. Giants made creatures in their likeness starting with the oldest lived to the youngest; elves, dwarves, humans etc. The dragons took a note from the giant but made races more durable and capable of living of some of the more rough terrains; Orc, goblins, kobolds etc.

    The Rise of Sin

    With so many intelligent beings now on Orden it didn’t take long for greed and hate to start taking root. At the same time the barrier between the outer planes thinned allowing influence from the abyssal and infernal planes. Many scholars debate if one caused the other.

    The Gods are Born

    Good creatures has been driven to the edge and to desperation. It was then that the need, the hope for help from beyond was needed. It was answered as the beings from the upper planes reached out to them and gave them hope. This hope began to grow and as it did various groups of ideals began to come together. Their combined faith in their ideals started the birth the the gods forming them to match their ideals. Over the next several centuries gods came and went based on the growing an waning faith. By the year 1000BF the gods that we know today were the last ones standing.

    Greyguard is Built

    The originals walls of the city now called Greyguard were built in a combined effort of humans and stone giants.

    The Elder War

    The giants and dragons had mostly stayed out of the war of the humanoids but their “children” got slaughtered the giants couldn’t just stand by and be impartial. The dragon proffered to stay out of it and hoard what they could from it. Once the giants got involved the dragons could no longer stand by and watch. This quickly turned from a humanoid war of good versus evil but between giants and dragons to see who was right. They gathered their children around then and became pawns in a war between the Eldest. Each side imparted more and more power into their children to gain the upper hand. The war ended with a final show of magic from the storm giants at what is now Stormhold. It ripped the ground asunder leaving Stormhold in the middle if a tempest and a large void around it. For miles beyond the earth was left wrecked and barren. Both the giants and the dragons had spent most their magic and resources in the war. The giants just shadows of their previous power helped the humanoids rebuild. The dragon went back into seclusion.

    The Fall of Stormhold

    The day the Elder War finsihed with the fall of Stormhold. It now sits on a floating island in the middle of the tempest. No one has made it to Stormhold since this day and returned to tell about it.   The calendar was reset to 0PF (post fall) to show that we would have a new world going forward.

    The Age of Rebirth

    The humanoids pick up the pieces after a century of war and cities and towns begin to pop up across the land. Trade routes and commerce is established.   Territory lines began to be drawn and capitols started to form.

    The Age of Magic

    Having learned so much magic for the giants and dragons during the elder war they wanted to see if they could surpass their understanding. Towers were built, the ruins of giants and dragon homes were pillaged to learn more and more secrets of magic. Many monstrosities were created during this time period.   Many wizards of great power tried to take control of the newly formed territories but were repelled and the ruins of the keeps still partially stand as reminder to those who seek control through force.

    The Nightmare War

    At the peak of the age of magic, no one knows who did it first but through the use of powerful magics a riff to the far realm opened and aberrations of all kinds pour through spreading their madness everywhere. It took the cooperation and magics of all the humanoids to close the rift reducing the number of powerful magic users to just a handful.

    The Age of Restoration

    It was time to rebuild once again but this time they knew that more care needed put into laws and control. Kingdom like areas were formed. Some were ruled by a king, others by councils and some are still in political struggle.
