Europa Base
Europa Base is the centre of operations for ORCA in Europe, its base designation HQ-001. Long-term planning, resource management, and other administration for all operations in the European theatre take place here, with lots of high-ranking European administrators being stationed here. It houses a lot of servers for critical systems working across Europe, decentralising these systems partially from Fulcrum Base.
Europa Base is constructed inside a formerly abandoned castle in Switzerland. The castle was privately bought up by ORCA and turned into the base. The location was chosen because of its inherent protection from prying eyes, and Switzerland chosen for its relatively central location in Europe and its political neutrality.
Demographics
Only members of ORCHESTRA are allowed into the base, or even know of its true purpose. Members stationed at this base come from all over Europe and each major country or zone of operations is represented.
Defences
A castle doesn't hold much actual defensive value in the modern day and is mainly just to avoid observation. In practical defenses, the base is outfitted with plenty of hidden gun emplacements, anti-aircraft turrets and sensors to detect and defeat any potential threat. The base also has a cover story of being a private residence and a number of outer checkpoints on every major entry point to ensure curious civilians do not get too close.
