Session132: When last we met 7/20/25

When last we met, the party had spent a restful night in the Feywild after a very eventful day. They awaken the next morning in their treehouse and enjoy a lovely breakfast with the Summer court. Gwildor, the gnome artificer who first gave Vandread his artificery textbook, examines the quality of Vandread's steel defender saying he's happy to see that he put the book to good use.

The party are given cloaks of Elvenkind bearing the insignia of the Feywild and they take their leave of the Summer court through a portal created by Queen Titania. She gives more patron love to her Warlock, Romaia before they depart back to the air ship.

The haze of staying in the feywild does not affect the party and they deduce by the position of the sun that they were in the feywild for the equivalent of Two weeks in the prime material plane. They take off and head back to the main land of Auldsod, passing by landmarks of their old adventures including the Cliffs of Lommond, Ben Morgh and the Battle Grove.

They arrive at their manor hours later and touchdown on the front clearing. Vasil emerges from inside unsure what all the racket is but is relieved to see it is only his employers aka the party. The party instantly notice the manor has been expanded and from the outside they notice a small solarium or greenhouse filled with plants. Vasil greets them and is given gifts of a cloak of protection as well as the ornate ancient curved sword by Vandread. Vasil thanks him and brings them inside where Caoimhe excitedly brings them around to see the new additions to the manor. There are additional rooms on the ground floor as well as a veranda up on the second floor. The party are quite pleased with his results.

From there, Vandread converses with Caoimhe on the construction of these Golems. They find out the majority of the magic for this comes from more arcane means rather than mechanical like they are used to. The clay man is literally imbued with an essence from the elemental plane of earth to make it move and act. For this they enlist the help of Romaia who oversees this project.

30 days of toil go by and Romaia sprinkles the ashes of the manual onto their clay construct who immediately springs to life, sits up and regards Romaia, who is technically her maker. She starts by commanding the thing to Obey the commands of her and anyone else present in the room. This includes the whole party as well as Caoimhe and Vandread's steel defender (Who unfortunately can't speak to give commands). But the party command the new golem to remain in the cellar for the night and they take their evening meal and rest upstairs in their manor.

The next day they take their new creation over to Ailec to assign it building duties in the town. It keeps pace with the party's mechanical horses all the way to the town. They arrive and are greeted by Drozza, the giant ex pirate who is now the town's guard. He welcomes them back and brings them over to the new inn, The Raven's Pearl where they are introduced to its proprietor Erica de Lucia who immediately offers free food and drink learning they are the lords and ladies of this town. The party politely insist on paying their fair share. Erica then says now that they are here, The sculptor, Luca can finally continue his work. She rushes upstairs to fetch him while the party enjoy a nice cold pint.

Luca emerges and introduces himself and asks the party to meet him in the town square in 15 minutes but says nothing else of his purpose. The party finish their drinks and head out under escort from Drozza who brings them to Ignacio who as well is overjoyed to see them. After pleasantries are exchanged, He grabs a mysterious linen bundle and brings them to the center of town.

There They find 4 stone boulders laid out. Ignacio reveals that the townsfolk scrounged together what money they could to Hire Luca to make a monument to them. In addition to that, the forged a brass plaque that will go on the front of the sculpture. It reads:

"In honor of our liberators, and those that never made it out of Bondage. Let this stand as a testament to their memory. And the enduring spirit of Justice and righteousness."

The party are touched by this gesture and pose with illusory decorations on their persons to enhance the image as Luca takes some sketches of form and proportion details to aid in the actual sculpting. This process takes about 20-30 minutes and Luca says he will begin the sculpture very soon. Mistral inquires about him settling down here and starting an art school. Luca is flattered and says he'd be happy to give some lessons and classes while he is here, But he longs to return to his home in Callisto once this is all finished.

The party then move about the town and get greeted and offered drinks at the inn by Gerard the butcher, as well as a few old friends turned enemies then friends again --Dima Olim and Oorlog of the Sisters of Salvation. They relay how they have gone back into adventuring and found themselves clearing out a cave of bandits calling themselves the Red Brands. The party say how happy they are to know they are remaining on the straight and narrow, as far as adventurers go.

The party spends the rest of the night in the Raven's Pearl in trying to keep up with Gerard who drinks the tavern dry of Beer and Mistral under the table. They then head upstairs to a room prepared for them while they take their rest. Mistral sleeps on a couch out in the hall.
