Session 82: When Last We Met 6/2/24

When last we met, The party had set sail aboard Romaia's folding boat. Taking to the Smuggler's Sea, The party's main objective for a long time was dealing with the monotony of life aboard a ship. Mistral communed with his patron, entreating him to remove the gifts of artificery and bestow his connection with his patron. Nohj obliges after imbibing several different drugs. He has Mistral look out at the stars before knocking him unconscious, and removing his level in Artificer. Mistral deals with the slight headache in the days after.    After about a week at sea, Sebastian and Maleeka Teleport aboard the ship and Sebastian chastises the party for leaving without him and regailing them of the ordeal it took to get aboard their ship. With their reunion complete, Sebastan proceeds to be seasick for the rest of the voyage. He points out the star Carcosa to the party on the first night and it is never unnoticeable to the party after that.    A few more uneventful days pass at sea before trouble arrives. Celeste and Romaia spot another ship gaining on them on the horizon. It eventually overtakes their boat as a galleon full of Pirates moves along side them. A fierce battle gets underway as the crew boards their boat and attacks them. The party sustain some heavy blows but begin dealing death out to the attacking crewmembers. Two fire based attacks on the deck of their ship causes the Captain to cease the battle. He comes aboard and recognizes Romaia from her piracy days. Realizing he was marauding a fellow colleague, The Captain prostrates himself in humble apologies to the party.    An attempt to strongarm him out of his own riches leads to an invitation to come aboard his ship, The Prickly Lass and discuss a further Parlay. And that's where we'll pick up next time.
