Session 131: When Last We Met 7/13/25

General Summary

When last we met, the party was basking in their hard fought victory against the King in Yellow. They spent a couple of weeks more in the country of Sunwilde, overseeing events and operations of the country. Sultans from neighboring cities arrive to meet with the Muharib who say that they are acting as stewards of the throne until a new ruler can be found or appointed. The Sultans agree to this but convene a future meeting where they decide who gets to ascend to the throne of the King of Sunwilde. Many feasts are held in the party's honor during that time.

Hakim sees the party off as they finally take their leave of Sunwilde, thanking them once again for all they did to help his country and its people. With that, the party take to the skies and sail for their net destination which they all agree is to the Feywild to have them keep safe the powerful magic items they have acquired in their recent adventures.

The party sail for 6 days from the hot winds of Sunwilde to the more temperate summer air of Auldsod. They sail over the Wildrim islands and suddenly feel a pang of nostalgia and longing to return to the rune singers. They divert course for a day and land on the island of Hearne.

They land on the grassy shores and head inland toward the village. They are met with the same strange stares from some folk, but there is a bit more warmth in their body language than when last they appeared on this island.

It is not long before they find Trukka, their unofficial guide and his little sister Jari, who has grown significantly since their last meeting. The party are rushed into the longhouse where ale and food are provided for them. The party say they wish to return and study more runic magic. Trukka sadly informs them that the elder of the village, Jussi has passed away since the time they last left. Trukka produces a letter written to the party from Jussi thanking them for taking up the study of his people's ways. Keeping their traditions and magic alive for a little while longer.

Feeling slightly saddened by this news, the party take their rest in the long house and visit a memorial made to him at his house. They pay their respects and continue on to the Fey crossing.

They arrive at the neighboring island of Oghma and make their way back over pathways they remember well, to places they have tread before.

They Banter with the copper dragon guarding the fey crossing and make their way into the Feywild. They spend the day making their way back to the mysterious tree portal that brings them to the Summer Court.

They are greeted by the queen and her court. Her herald speaks for the queen and bids them welcome. The party say they are here to deliver magic items to the Keeper of the Forgotten. She abides and opens the stairwell into his lair.

They make their way down and deliver the goods they wish to part with: The eye of Vecna, The Deck of Many Things, The Talisman of Pure Good and the Talisman of the sphere are all delivered into the hands of Dunahzaal. Feeling a bit mischievous, he asks if anyone would like to draw from the deck of many things just as a bit of fun. Mistral volunteers and immediately draws the DonJon card and is transported to an unknown place and kept in stasis, unable to be found. The party rightfully are beside themselves and insist Dunahzaal do something to bring him back. He laments that he does not have that power. They then suggest finding a wish spell to just reverse what just happened. This sparks an idea in dunahzaal's head and he summons up an Efreeti bottle from the wheel of magic items. He brings forth a Djinn calling itself Tar-Taru. He instructs that the party have a wish to ask of him and they plead with him to undo the event that just happened. Tar-Taru agrees and with a snap of his fingers, Time and reality itself reverse course, Mistral reappears from the nothingness he was sent to. Naked for a brief moment.

Time returns to normal at the moment Mistral was about to pull a card from the Deck. This time Celeste implores him not to and warns of what will happen. Confused, Mistral says he hasn't pulled any cards yet. Nevertheless, the parties who witnessed this event have a vague recollection of what happened and Dunahzaal quietly puts the cards away for good.

After that event, Vandread asks the keeper if he has anything that can help produce an army of builders. After a pensive moment, Dunahzaal spins the wheel and pulls out 4 books. These are manuals of Golems. He instructs that if you invest in these, Whatever you're building will get done in a quarter of the time. Vandread thanks him and takes the manuals.

After that they re emerge back up in the summer court and take their rest in a nearby treehouse. Happy to have their Genasi back and not have to travel to the ends of the universe to find him.

Tar-Taru - Djinn of the four winds - encased in an efreeti bottle and emerged to help the party undo the blunder they just underwent. Seems to be a friend of Dunahzaal by their banter.

  • Party decides to visit Hearne first to visit the Rune Singers
  • Learns of the passing of Jussi
  • Takes a long rest on Hearne

3rd of Badb

  • Party departs Hearne and heads for Oghma
  • Party arrives on Oghma and passes through the Fey Crossing
  • Party travels through the forest heading toward the Summer Court

4th of Badb

  • Party arrives to the Summer Court and greets their old seelie fey friends
  • Party goes to the keeper of the Forgotten
  • Delivers magic items to him
  • Mistral draws the Donjon card from the Deck of Many things and is imprisoned
  • Party enlists the help of a Djinn to undo this horrible horrible mistake
  • Party take a long rest.

It is eternal twilight in the Feywild when we pick up next time.
