Session 128: When Last We Met 6/1/25

When last we met, The party were fighting their way to the palace of the King for their final confrontation with Hastur, The King in yellow. The horde of allies they gathered had secured the city left in their wake as they deal with multiple foes.

The party make short work of a death knight after his firebomb attack results in a hellish Rebuke at the hands of Romaia. The party then quickly move on to the gates of the palace, Where they find even more aberrations standing between them and the entrance to the palace. The star Spawn Beckoners and a creature known as the Scion of Gibbeth engage the party in combat.

They manage to sequester most of the creatures inside an aura of revulsion and a web spell cast by Mistral and Vandread respectively. From there the Beckoners launch little wisps of starlight to attack the party from afar and the Scion of Gibbeth attempts to invade the minds of various party members. Succeeding with Celeste who is charmed into attacking her allies. She shoots Vandread in the back. Every attempt by these creatures to leave the aura of sickness has party members pushing them back in and/or inhibing their movement speed using magic. This tactic succeeds and eventually the wisps are destroyed through martial combat and the first Beckoner falls to Vandread's blade. The Scion of Gibbeth is destroyed by Romaia's Eldritch Blast and Two well placed Arrows from a now Freed Celeste kills the other Star Spawn Beckoner.

With the chaos of the battle over, The doors to the palace swing open. A dark miasmal effluence emanates from within the palace of the King as heir main foe awaits them inside.

The battle to free this world begins!
