Session 127: When Last We Met 5/25/25

When last we met, The party had united with the small force that was to take Olorun and stop the King in Yellow once and for all. The descended on the city slowly and carefully, moving through the outskirts with ease. Eventually they get into the city proper and find themselves besieged by commoners who surround them and try to feebly attack them and generally inhibit their passage. Vandread and Hakim remind everyone NOT to harm these innocents. Emrys, the Elven mage accompanying them puts up a Wall of Force to keep them at bay. Vandread and Maleeka cast dispel magic on a few of them and it seems to work.

As two of these commoners are retreating back to their homes, they are mauled by a Star Spawn Mangler. The party are surrounded on all sides. However they have a small army at their disposal and they call upon them to mop up this menace and restore order to this section of the city which they do with ease. The party then press forward making their way toward the palace.

They come across a small group of cultists patrolling the next neighborhood and stealthily pick them off one by one until coming upon two transformed figures. Champions of Hastur who don't go down easily. A battle ensues and eventually everyone in that neighborhood is wiped out. Vandread proceeds to explore the buildings in this section, finding quite a bit of loot in the way of coinage and a few magic items pilfered from businesses and homes in the vicinity.

After that Vandread finds himself face to face with another foe. This one definitely no longer of this world. A transformed and corrupted paladin. An other worldly Death Knight.

The two face off as the rest of the party take up attack positions nearby.
