Magic Overview
Winds travel the world, carrying the power of magic across the lands. Stirring powers, Magic flows through the life that fills Opideon; from the smallest insects to the largest trees, the world is filled by impossible powers.
Magic itself all comes from the same source, though the power that Sorcerers wield is classified into three types and four classes of Magic: Alchemy; High Magic -- which is broken down into Pure and Old Magic; and Conjuring Magic.
Magic is, by definition, the power that flows through all life on Opideon. Due to this power, metals -- excluding soil, due to soil holding the power that allows life to flourish -- are known for drawing in Magic and, if used incorrectly through Alchemy, can absorb the Magic.
Sorcerers -- the given name of learned users of Magic through the Academy of the Mastery of Magic -- will generally use the casting type, how a specific form of magic is controlled and summoned, to determine a form -- possibly multiple forms, fully dependent upon the Sorcerer's lesson plan -- of foci, a control of Magic meant to allow the sorcerer to properly control their own powers.
Culture
The culture of Magic is mainly focused on the country of the Sorcerer's Federation of Sel is the main hub of all sorcerer's activity. Due to the Sorcerer's Federation of Sel being the dedicated country of sorcery, they are based on a government system that is run by it.
