Saint Lucretia's Day

Saint Lucretia's Day (3 November) celebrates the ancient Volian Elf princess Lucretia, who lived in the early days of the Age of Integrity. She was favored by Aphrodite and the personal handmaiden to Verenestra, though she walked between the Material Plane and the Feywild freely. According to legend, she brought such wealth, prosperity, and grace to the lands that the flowers in her kingdom bloomed with gemstones in the center. It is even said that the sweetness of her voice could calm the waves of the Seething Coast. She was the first to unite the chain of major and minor islands between Isla Voli and Isle Machmorraig, a union that would last until green dragons laid waste to the archipelago in the Withering Massacre of the Y2700s ITG.   Today, the holiday is traditionally celebrated with elaborate dances and plays, most famously by the Geisha Society (high courtesans) of Arborcítta. It is also a popular day for weddings among the nobility of the Aquatic Kingdoms.
