Principles of the Continuity of Life

Principles of the Continuity of Life is an arcanomedicinal manual originally written by future Valòmar Aimaro te-Lugos in Y447. It details all known resurrection methods practiced by clerics of the Wild Dynasty at the time of its authorship, as well as several variants practiced by the larger druid circles of Scalados.

For centuries, scribe-made copies of Principles of the Continuity of Life were highly prized by the clergy of the Wild Dynasty religion and carefully kept away from outsiders, for fear of necromantic corruption. As per official decree from the Citadel of the Wild, the book was never allowed to be copied via printing press, on account of these same fears. Today, Principles of the Continuity of Life is mostly considered an archaic text because of its reliance on extremely particular material components, which have largely been rendered obsolete. However, it remained a crucial and widely studied text through the mid-to-late Y900s CPX.

In Y909, a copy of Principles of the Continuity of Life was illegitimately borrowed from the Eldanír-in-Danu library by then-acolyte Sen and used to resurrect Gepopo (an urchin he found dead in the woods). At 77 years old, Sen was the youngest student of the Wild Dynasty temple-campus system to have ever successfully performed a resurrection ritual.
