The Wolf and the Legend Knight
A Poem from an Unknown Author
'Twas a tale as ancient as when it was told;
When the mighty beast was tamed
'Twas the Knight of Legend, with a blade of gold;
to whom the fame was claimed 'Twas a wolf of dragon proportions;
with a glare a sharp as knives
With a mane of black and white distortions;
and teeth who claimed many lives 'Twas the day of Midsummers eve;
when the knight began his quest
His sword, a blade of sharpened cleave;
would surely perform its best 'Twas a wooded forest in the dead of winter;
when their epic battle began
It caused his sword to splinter
which was heard across the land; The battle was nearly done;
and the fighters were weak and tired
and since they have rested none
the Knight sat down and lit a fire He began to roast a carpon;
and the wolf laid down to rest
It was then they became good friends;
perhaps even some of the best
