The Child – Episode 2

“THERE IS A CHILD. A PRINCESS AMONG THE WOOD ELVES. YOU WILL BRING HER TO ME – ALIVE AND UNSPOILED.”   Assembled atop of the Spires of Yog, the four villains were debriefed by the Vessel, now replete with the terrible might of Yog. They learned about the Wombwood, about the Elf kingdom of Cymbia and about Princess Nimria, newborn daughter of King Maoras and Queen Sionne. They learned about her ancient druidic lineage and how it has become necessary to Yog’s designs that she was apprehended alive and delivered to It.   They asked their questions. Desdemonia wanted to know what Agnoment was doing amongst them, why the Black Star would entrust this mission to a lightblood. Dr. Hughbert pleaded for his Alizabeth, begging Yog to allow her to accompany the party. Agnoment asked specific questions – when should they depart and how shall they blend in amongst the elven populace? Erick Idylvain asked no questions, only submitted to the wisdom of Yog’s far-seeing eye.   When offered a Dark Gift the villains chose the Shadow Network – spies judiciously planted throughout the cloistered kingdom. This sparked a short discussion about how they purpose to enter Cymbia. It was the good Doctor who ultimately devised the plan – they’d pose as diplomats from Yogoth, offering a peace treaty to the staunchly neutral wood elves, while a disguised Desdemonia posed as their wood elven escort. This agreed, they made their obeisance to the Vessel before departing through the Fissure in the center of the spire.   Whisked across the world, the four villains were birthed – one by one – from a corresponding Fissure in the foothills of the Greenguard Mountains in eastern Emeros. Accompanying them iswasAlizabeth, the Doctor’s grotesquerie of a spouse, and the two lovebirds were reunited. Together, the five of them considered the infinite expanse of green – the Wombwood – that spanned out before them.
