Logisticos Tefar

Logisticos Tefar was a wight bureaucrat in the service of both Caliphar II and Vhakizla the Valiant. Born a native Vhakizlan, he was raised to undeath during the vampire's reign and maintained his post into the dracolich's regime.  

Description

Like all wights, Tefar bore only passing resemblance to his human visage, with pallid skin, bleached hair and glowing pink eyes. He wore a tight-fitting black costume that clung to his neck and revealed precious little skin, as well as leather gloves to contain his necrotic touch. He was most recognizable for his torn and puckered lips, having retreated away from his teeth and exposing them in a perpetual grimace. He was always seen to carry a scroll, tablet or stylus wherever he went.  

History

Second Age

Born in Vhakizla during Caliphar II's reign, Tefar was reanimated and served as logisticos – in charge of all the nation's day-to-day affairs – for two years when the dracolich invaded. While initially quite loyal to the vampire, Vhakizla's soul gem bound him to her service immediately. While he maintained his position in the dragon's organization and earned a seat among her sycophants, he found the dragon's vanity and incessant pagentry more tiresome than the vampire's indulgence and vice.   When Piety blockaded the mouth of the Heartvein River, Logisticos Tefar was tasked with breaking the blockade. As much as a wight can be, he was overjoyed when the Menagerie, upon their arrival, solved the problem for him.  

Character

Personality

Any personality that Tefar might once have possessed was leeched from him in the reanimation process. As a wight, Tefar was wholly devoted to his duty as a logisticos and did not harbor any thoughts or opinions of his own – only the will of his draconic overlord.   Yet it would be irresponsible not to mention how, as a creature of habit, the violent transfer of power was unsettling for the wight. The dragon's particular way of conducting business was not in line with the vampier's an, in the transition, Tefar was perhaps not fully equipped for his new role.  

Abilities

As a wight, Tefar was capable of draining the life force from a living creature with a touch. Should that touch kill the creature in question, they rose as a zombie under his command. That said, he exercised these abilities quite infrequently, as he was more a functionary than a soldier.   In addition, the logisticos commanded an impressive understanding of Vhakizla's inner workings. Thanks to his perfect memory, he could recall any detail he learned before his death but was occasionally slow to grasp new or unfamiliar concepts.
