Mal the Vengeful

MAL was the youngest of Lilith’s daughters. Unlike her sisters, she dreamed of love, and one day became infatuated with a human, the adopted son of a king and queen. Together they had four daughters with him—Glinda, Elphaba, Nessarose, and Theadora. The prince, however, was desperate to please his ruthless adopted father. When the king called for the death of the dark fey living in the nearby woods, Mal’s prince betrayed her, and took her wings. Mal, gravely injured and deeply hurt, sent her daughters away to the safety of another land, warning them of the treachery of men. Mal vowed to punish the people of the prince’s kingdom until the realm fell into ruin.
