The Murder of Stanek Fullfang III

Life, Death

856PM

In a whirlwind of events, the High Priest of the Dragons was murdered in the Church.

Six years after the Church had suffered a fire, the unrest within the sects had grown to substantial proportions and it was incredibly worrisome that another war was going to break out. Many members of the sects demanded to speak with the High Priest and the Dragon Knights guarded every entrance to the Church every hour of every day and slayed anyone who dared attempt to slip past them.   Galdom Cossul was the High Knight of the Dragon Knights and had become more and more uneasy with what the HIgh Priest was demanding that they do. Finally he ordered for the Knights to stand down and allow any and all to enter the Church. Standing at the right hand of the incredibly furious High Priest he ensured that no one would lay their hand upon Fullfang III. Chanting and shouting grew louder in the church and there was a demand among the crowd to "slay the blasphemer".   Galdom Cossul laid his hand upon the shoulder of the High Priest and told him to stand up. Becoming more afraid Fullfang III listened without hesitation. Cossul placed his arms around the High Priest placing him in a choke hold. "What would the Church have me, the protector of these walls do to the Blasphemer High Priest?" he shouted over the crowd.   The crowd quieted for a moment when a voice from the center raised up shouting "To death!" The rest of the mob quickly joined in, their voices echoing through the marble halls growing more and more intense. After a beat, Cossul swiftly snapped the neck of Fullfang III and let his body slump to the floor. In the next moment, Cossul had removed his helmet and High Knight pin and pushed his way through the crowd. The mob eventually dispersed and the doors of the Church were sealed.
