The Antescribes
Keepers of History
The Antescribes are an organization of explorers, historians, and archaeologists dedicated to the collection and preservation of knowledge relating to the history of Omne. Primarily based in the Starstruck Valley, the Antescribes are composed of individuals of academic persuasion from all over the world.
Due to their commitment to passive observation, the Antescribes are almost universally recognized as the chief authority on historical events across the continent of Neos and beyond.
Structure
The Antescribes organize themselves in a simple format, with the vast majority of members referred to simply as Scribes. Each of these scribes maintains contact with a Coordinator, usually stationed at a site of education, such as a university or library in a major city. Each Coordinator in turn maintains contact with the Antescribe's central branch in the Starstruck Valley, the administrative members of which are called Head Scribes.
Public Agenda
Since its foundation, the Antescribes have been dedicated to recording and preserving world history. Both tomes and artifacts of historic importance are collected by its members.
