Dragonguard
The Dragonguard was an ancient paramilitary organization with roots in Unum, the land of fairytales. It is speculated that they were once a major geopolitical force, though their current presence is all but nonexistent in most known lands.
History
Little is known of the original Dragonguard, but it is speculated that they were active sometime before or during the travels of the original Five Heroes of Padarak. The only member of the organizatoin that surviving documentation confirms is Eldaron Andromitus, and by extension, the dragon Eltaria.
Disbandment
Through a combination of historical text and oral tradition, the Dragonguard's disbandment likely arose from a betrayal of one of their members, with the most credited theories citing corruption through the use of shadow magic.
