Siegfried
The Great Dragon of Greed
The Gilded King of the The Gilded Lands, the twelfth layer of Totripjah Uoinota, resides within an opulent palace, the Istir Nakta, or Starfield Keep, resting in between two peaks with a golden road leading to it’s oppressive doors. Siegfried acts as the Gilded King of this layer and has cursed this layer’s landscape and riches to “deter” those that try to plunder this bounty. These individuals slowly petrify as the material they wanted to leave with and upon becoming that material in its entirety will melt into the layer itself. This causes many of the petitioners on the Gilded Lands to act charitable as to add to the riches of the landscape with those avaricious enough to accept any spoils from this layer. His mount is recognized to be a Grey Drake.
Dogma
Siegfried is a covetous king that cares only for Himself and His hoard. Everything to Him has value, and what others deem as valuable He will likely covet. From taking the lives of loved ones, to taking one’s lands, to even taking a paltry amount of coins from a beggar. All of these, and then some, are the lengths Siegfried is willing to go to expand His treasury. What truly angers Him is when someone obtains an object, title, power, etc that He was seeking. As when the Gilded King desires to have something, He will make sure that He is the only one to have it.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Worshippers of Siegfried aim to utilize His ideals for the betterment of balahran society. Because of this, the balahran peoples have maintained being content with what they have and not aspiring to have more than what they need. However, the Gilded King’s favor is gained even when a balahran accrues any amount of excess, even in nonphysical assets such as relationships. Redemption for the Thirteen is only for those that are Chosen, and the Chosen must perform acts that are abhorrent to that Great Dragon. For Siegfried, this act is charity. To relinquish one’s own belongings to those that need it more.
Interactions with the World
Siegfried influences the actions of His worshippers through temptation, as is this is the typical corruptive action that all of the Thirteen use on their worshippers. Siegfried's temptation upon His worshippers is the desire to gain more wealth. This started as the desire to gain resources at a higher rate than others to have a stable life, but it developed into the desire to sell one’s services to not only provide what others cannot perform, but to also secure an income to survive utilizing one’s own skills. And thus, Siegfried benefits from their mastery.
