Maliki Jasper

The Icon of Vengeance

Maliki, also known as the Burdened Blade, is depicted as a tall, pale human samurai with piecemeal lamellar armor of blacks, silvers, and blues. What makes Maliki stand out from the other samurai Icons is His clan symbol; a crescent moon with a wolf head within the crescent itself. Maliki is often worshipped by those that have lost something, or someone, close to them. These worshippers strive to make their loss into a lesson. His mount is recognized as being a Shadow-Infused Dire Wolf.

Dogma

Maliki is a reckless Icon. His worshippers tend to go headlong into problems without gathering all of the details, but this doesn't stop them from getting results. He tends to seek the counsel of others only if He doesn't have His own solution. Maliki is an Icon of using your emotions, your ambition, to relieve your anguish through action.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Maliki is an Icon that only wants their followers to have their burdens lifted from their shoulders. Thus, to further your personal quests is a means of gaining favor in Maliki's eyes. However, to fall from grace. To go too far and cause collateral damage. These will lead to a fall from grace. Maliki will only forgive those that perform the Rite of Self Reflection. This is a sacred rite that must be done in solitude. The one seeking redemption must surround themselves with mirrors and kneel with a ceremonial blade resting in front of them. They are to be intoxicated during the Rite and gaze into their reflections. Only when they are contacted by Maliki Himself is when they are truly redeemed.

Interactions with the world

Maliki is an Icon that chooses when you are to strike your enemy. He seeks those that show combat prowess, ambition to delve into their emotions, and will tackle any obstacle along the way. Maliki will guide those that are relentless in the pursuit of what made them who they are. Worshippers of Maliki are some of the most ruthless adventurers, or even priests that have already sought absolution in their completed act(s) of vengeance.
