The Paragon of Sacrifice
Bertrum is an emaciated dark tan dwarf with a patchy black beard, dark brown eyes, and short, bedraggled umbre dreadlocks. He is often depicted wearing torn and dirty clothes or he is wearing a well-tailored dark gray shirt with a blue vest and black pants. The Paragon Himself is often worshipped by merchants and beggars, but many dwarven heroes say a prayer to Bertrum if they believe they are about to meet their end. His mount is recognized as being a Stone Boar.
Dogma
Bertrum is a patient and grateful Paragon. He suffered through starvation and cowardice as those around Him died, but he persevered through the kindness of others. This has led to Him eventually putting His life on the line to save the people that saved Him. Bertrum's worshippers are selfless and merciful. Many of His priests prepare food for those that are homeless and churches and homes that are dedicated to Bertrum are usually open for those that require a place to stay.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Bertrum is a very forgiving Paragon. Favor is usually gained through helping those in need. Though, theft and cowardice are dealt with by losing His favor. To gain back Bertrum's favor, one must undergo a fast of a month and do so in silence as Bertrum had done before He was saved.
Interactions with the World
Bertrum tends to avoid interacting with Omedei, but when He does, there are major effects. The few times that Bertrum has interacted with Omedei has ended with the death of a major religious dwarven figure. The information involving these deaths have been stricken from records. Many worshippers of Bertrum are known for their uncanny ability to feel Bertrum's guidance.
