Baern Slategrinder
The Paragon of Justice
Baern Slategrinder is a pale dwarf with short auburn hair, dark green eyes, and a dark red beard that is kept in three parts; a braid, a straightened center, and another braid. All of which is held together at the base of the center via a large clasp. Baern is often described as wearing battered, steel plate armor with His head exposed revealing an angry excitement on His face, all the while gripping tightly to a rather unremarkable maul. The Paragon Himself is often worshipped by judges and law enforcement that believe that laws are not just meant to be enforced, but changed based on how it affects the society it's enforced in. His mount is recognized as being a Stone Ox.
Dogma
Baern is the type of dwarf to take matters into His own hands. If He finds a problem with something then He immediately involves Himself to try and correct that problem. Worshippers of Baern are typically about as headstrong as their Paragon. This leads to many Baern worshippers attempting to root out corruption or illegal acts. Baern worshippers care more for upholding justice, even if it means committing a crime to do so.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Baern cares more about why the law is being upheld as opposed to focusing on upholding the law. As such, if you believe you are doing right by the society you live in, then you are in Baern's favor. However, losing His favor would be assisting those that oppress or corrupt others. To redeem oneself is to right the wrongs you committed. This is typically done by rooting out corruption and uplifting the oppressed. In other words, to really make a change in that society.
Interactions with the World
Many dwarves get the wrong idea about Baern and consider Him a revolutionary Paragon. This is further from the truth. Baern wants to uphold the status quo, but would prefer for the status quo to be fair to all with the corrupt being punished. Dwarves that worship Baern tend to trust their gut instincts more than they trust what they perceive. This is Baern's gift to His people, as they can easily gain insight on whether an individual, or group, is able to be trusted.
