Augustus Barrelbeard
The Paragon of Craftsdwarves
Augustus Barrelbeard is a bald, dark skinned male dwarf with a squared off beard that just covers His neck. Augustus is often described as wearing a dark leather apron with thick hide pants and large, metal plated, hide boots. The Paragon Himself is often worshipped in homes where the head of household is aspiring to become a great craftsdwarf, or has already accomplished such a goal. His mount is recognized as being a Stone Ox.
Dogma
Augustus Barrelbeard is known more for His solitary lifestyle and dislike for visitors. Oftentimes Augustus can be brash and rude to anyone that calls upon His aid, but is willing to assist if He feels as if it provides Him with inspiration or deific influence. Many worshippers of Augustus are more keen on finding small imperfections in projects as opposed to finishing a project outright. Barrelbeard worshippers are known for caring more about the quality of their work as opposed to the quantity, and as such will not concern themselves with time constraints.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Augustus is very adamant about properly completing tasks without making unnecessary mistakes. To be able to craft something that is worthy of praise is what He strives for all of His worshippers. Losing favor with Augustus is not unheard of, but can be rectified in a simple manner. If you made a mistake that could have been prevented through diligence and a keen eye, or possibly chose to not own up to your own mistakes, then you will incur the ire of Augustus Barrelbeard. To redeem yourself, you must not only own up to your mistake, but improve upon it. If there was an imperfection in a blade, then you must master making that blade to where it is second nature to never fail again.
Interactions with the World
Augustus Barrelbeard cares not for Omedei, but cares more for what His worshippers can make from it. Barrelbeard tries to influence working out the imperfections in not only the projects of His worshippers, but also to work out the flaws His worshippers carry within themselves. Worshippers of Barrelbeard will seek out a sense of meaning in either their work or themselves. The ones that seek the necessity to find meaning in their work will be guided through their projects in brief epiphanies. While those that seek meaning in themselves will find that it is found through working on their flaws and turning them into strengths.
