Meadow Goblin

Meadow Goblins are what most people think of when one mentions goblinkind. The green-skinned, short people with a tendency for mischief and violence. Meadow Goblins are often known for raiding caravans around heavily settled areas or settlement attacks in frontier reaches. Often traveling in tribes or warbands, these goblins can be found on the outskirts of civilization and are often warned about when they are nearby. However, some question if their violent reaction is constructed by the societies around them. One group of goblins attacks out of desperation, then a band of soldiers attacks goblins out of revenge, thus driving the goblins deeper into desperation.   Those who have lived among them and have learned about them have recognized their affinity for taming beasts of burden and animals. Roaming the meadows and planes, they usually scouting atop quick steeds with their tents pulled by strong oxen.

Anatomy

Meadow Goblins are the type that people often think of when they imagine a goblin. These four limbed humanoids are short in stature, standing far below humans and only a little below Dwarves. Their skin is a wide range of green shades and they have broadleaf shaped ears on the sides of their heads. They have sharp teeth made for chewing tough meat. Meadow Goblins are actually one of the taller subspecies of goblin, standing at an average of 4 feet tall.

Ecology and Habitats

Meadow Goblins often live on the fringes of civilization. Living among praries of woodlands where they roam and tend to their animals. They also live within close distance to such settlements in order to raid when they need. Meadow Goblins also settle the ruins of dead civilization, including their very own. A large amount of Meadow Goblins live in the Salic Colonies of Veret.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The diet of your average meadow goblin is very reflective of their pastoral lifestyle. Supplemented by whatever they were able to trade, barter, or steal from theri neighbors. Their diet mainly consists of meats, cheese, milks, and forage such as mushrooms and wild tubers.
