Wëðo-Dürïža

Wëðo-Dürïža, or Carbon Glowing, is a severe and almost always deadly condition that arises when the carbon concentration inside a silicon-based creature or object becomes large enough. This occurs after severe cases of Aparï-Dürïža, or Carbon Immobilization, where the carbon concentration is small enough to only cause distortion and a breakdown of stability.

At the high levels needed to cause Wëðo-Dürïža, the infected being or object becomes like a source of carbon itself, infecting others with Aparï-Dürïža in the same way that the carbon was initially passed to them.
