Nekarian Invasion
The Conflict
Prelude
The country of Lotao, as according to the 24963 AYM Treaty of Tayzem, owned the Merios Lake, famous for its ability to circulate nutrients from the nearby Blip Ocean into the surrounding soil of the lake. This gave Lotao much more bountiful harvests than the 5 other Tribes, and as a result, the relationships between Lotao and the others became strained.
Nekara was the northeasternmost tribe of the 6 (in fact, because it was located east of the Arbin Mountains, which were the official boundary between the Tayzem Region and the Blivonic Valley, Nekara was technically not part of the Tayzem Tribes), had farms situated along the coast of the Kamaloa Ocean to the north, and nutrients flowed from west to east. Some of this nutrients became caught in the soil, and this was how Nekarian farms were able to grow food.
However, from 23010 to 22977 AYM, a series of droughts occurred throughout the 6 tribes. The hot temperatures caused the nutrients in the Kamaloa and Blip Oceans to evaporate, lessening the effectiveness of farms all among the coast. However, the nutrients that were appearing in the Merios Lake did not stop, and keep going as usual. Thus was because the nutrients were being belched out of hydrothermal vents far below the surface. Nekara, whose farms were running the worst out of all 6 of the tribes, saw this and became jealous of Lotao.
The famines subsided in 22977 AYM. However, harvests were never as plentiful as they were before the famine. Lotao's farms were nonetheless working as well as they had, with some even yielding more than prior. As a result, the 5 other tribes began to suspect that Lotao was stealing their nutrients via the Lake. This conspiracy became known as the Sibneu-Tu-Lotao, or the Accusation against Lotao, and its believers were called Hiefi-Re-Sibneu-Tu-Lotao, often shortened to Hiefi-Sib-Lotao.
In 23133 AYM, Laerin became the 12th king of Nekara. He was a Hiefi-Sib-Lotao, and planned to take over Lotao and use the Lake to better the tribe. Knowing that Lotao's citizens were well-fed and healthier than Nekara's forces, he decided to opt for a surprise attack.
Battlefield
Razing of Attehur
The first town they encountered was the border city of Attehur, situated about 50 miles west of the border, with a population of 250. All of the townspeople were killed with no nekarian casualties. This took place in the early mornings of 21 Heta-Eimarae, from Yo-Ainota-Kultivae (1:30 AM) to around Anta-Kultivae (4:00 AM). The town hall and several dwellings were demolished.Upon seeing this, many nearby towns sent messengers to the capital for military aid; However, the majority of towns did not, as it was still in the early morning hours.
Massacre at Rautsion
The next town Laerin targeted next was Rautsion, a southern town just northwest of the Arbin Mountains. They had sent several messengers at around Ge-Ainota-Kultivae (3:30 AM), but they were all killed by Nekarian archers. At HUl-Aianta-Kultivae (4:15 AM), Nekarian troops raided the town, killing all inhabitants. In the
