Resvaka (Res-Vaka)

The Moon Goddess of the Tovaka people.     According to the Creation Myth, it's believed that Resvaka birthed the Tovaka into existence after Tanajo brought about the world of Tova.     When the Pezwa attacked Tova, both Resvaka and Tanajo had to flee the world they created, took what children of theirs they could. The two wandered for years before finding another world. They both were too weak to make the journey all the way, and instead cast their children towards the new land.   Resvaka in her final moments cried happy knowing her children had a chance. She and Tanajo embraced, only to notice that the world they had arrived to lacked a moon. The two decided to turn one another into moons and watch over their children each night.   Both gods were in slumber for many years while their children were enslaved by one race, and then another. During this time most of their children had forgotten about them, but not all. To worship any god was a crime punishable by death. Those who still knew their gods were in the sky each night prayed to them in secret in the one play they could, their dreams.   Some of their children adapted to communicating to them in their dreams, that they could even reach the minds of other slumbering and come to their aid, or deliver the word of the gods to people. These were the Dream Walkers.   Eventually the Pezwa found this world as well and attacked it. The Moon gods were ready and kept their night light focused on their children as the Pezwa consumed all life around them. After his feast, the beast left the world an empty husk, aside from the small section of desert where the Tovaka were.   Even now the ancient gods still slumber, but keep their children safe from The Pezwa.
