The First Flash, and Creation

The First Flash of the Maker's power, when he struck life into the cold Universal Void.

The Maker saw the cold Void, and felt an intense loneliness. But in a flash of inspiration, he saw all of creation in his mind, from the smallest pebble to the largest mountain, from the littlest child to the largest warrior. He stretched out his presence and in a brilliant flash in the darkness, the universe was formed out of the Void, brining life to Nothingness. He started with beings like himself, Cosmos and The Draconic Matriarch, The Forest Father and the many spirits of the world. Then he felt in his heart the need to create smaller life, children to watch over. Thus he crafted the world for them, filling it with wonderous creatures and landmarks, biomes and lands, and made the mortal races, while his children created their own people. And all was fine, for a little while.
