Krazakru the Wasteland Terror
Badland mothers warn their kids to keep indoors in the night, or Krazakru will swipe them away to drift eternally in darkness.
Summary
The story goes that Krazakru is a being from another world, that only appears in our world when the realm is weakest. It is said to have massive wings and tentacles hanging from it's face, and be over 100 feet from wingtip to wingtip, and is told to swipe unruly children from darkness to drift in it's lightless realm.
Historical Basis
It is uncertain where this story comes from, but a good candidate is a tale of a town thousands of years ago, that suffered nightmares for months, drawing their tormentor out of desperation to visualize the being they saw, largely matching the description in the story. And in one night the entire town was gone. As if erased from the universe itself.
