The Elusive Palace (sǎˈkǐllě̌ˈkɛ̌ː)

Purpose / Function

The Elusive Palace is a place only known by the nobility of Ohta'mando. There, one can ask anything, and if that person ask reasonably, they shall have what they asked. This place isn't a well of wishes or anything magical. The organisation behind the elusive palace is just particularly good at supplying anything that exist. You can even ask for living being if you want to; But you cannot kill what you ask. You can ask all sort of dangerous substances or even weapon if you provide the reason of your demand, but you can't leave your room with it. You can't ask for an object that could harms people outside of your room.   repetitively   A vast majority of customers ask for sexual partners. Some are just here to visit the quiet garden, or whatch the performers, or spent time alone in one of the many rooms available.

Alterations

Three years after its completion, the organisation in charge ordered a vast and complexe drwing representing the lay-line of arcane traveling the planet. This drawing naturally glows in purple and replaced the glowing sphere which provided the vast majority of the ambiant light.

Architecture

The Elusive Palace have no structures in any sort above the ground, given its purpose. There are many entrances which leads to the main hall. Each entrance is behind a door and, for most of them, are engineered as secret doors. Those entrances can be found in several places in Ohta'mando, mainly on the rich part of the city. Inns, libraries and market are commons building where you can find those entrances. Rumors says that some nobles have a private entrance for the Palace. Conspirators says that the current ruler of Ohta'mando is both the owner and have a secret entrance for the Palace. Each entrance consist of corridor with no stairs which go underground with approximatively 24 degree of tilt. Thoses corridor joint whith each other, and form small rooms at their crossroad. Very often, in order to prevent some people to find other secret entrance, reinforced doors are present in those rooms, either with a key or with a one way access device. Ultimately, all those corridors leads to the main hall, in one single access ramp. Each access ramp is paved with losange-shaped light-grey rock.   The main hall is a square-shaped room with a stony ground. In the center of it, a pale stone represent the waxing crescent of the moon. A black-grey stone complete the moon and some pale blue star-shaped rocks are scatered across a unique grey slate. On each side of the room, green walls can be seen, displaying long moss watered by falling water. Some light come through the moss, providing the sunlight requirement of it. On the ceilling, a large disk of glass let a dark light coming through it. The two sources leaves nothing but enough visibility to see a counter, at the opposite side of the ramp.   The counter is made in willow tree wood and coloured in white, leaving that furniture apparently glowing on this penumbra. Very often, two waiters are behind it, with a mask on. Behind them, the company's symbol glow with faint purple light: A mask with some curves representing an unisexe face.   Each side of the counter leads to a two meters wide corridor, with zero to none tilt. These two corridors joint themselves in a vast circle of exactly 24 meters radius, enclosed by walls. Walls themselves glows in a peculiar orange-like light that merely reveal anything, leaving barely enough visibility to not bump into them. Regularly, at exactly 6.28 meters on the inner wall, there is a small tear-shaped passage of exactly 2 meters wide at the largest, 2.4 meters high at the spike of the tear. Those passage are 3 meters long and lead to the garden.   The garden tend to represent the savage part of the nature. With a layout close to an english-like garden, very few arrangements are made for the visitor. Trees only grow at the garden's border, near the walls. There are many small pathway accross the garden. Some a marked with 40 cm wide plane rock, others are made by the countless wandering of visitors. At the very center of this artificial wilderness, a small round-shaped wooden stage of 2.4 meters high is present. The ceiling, at 24 meters high, is decorated with a complex layout of purple-glowing curves, representing the most common constellation above the city. That glowing provide enough light for the plants to thrive, and is reflected by the 24 meters high pale walls around the garden, making them violet. Regurlarly, small balcony can be seen on it. There is exactly 8 balcony per level and 8 level. From the garden, given the ambiant light, it is almost impossible to see if someone is whatching you from them.   Behind each balcony, there is a small studio of exactly three rooms: The kitchen is paired with the dining room which lead to the balcony, there is a small bedroom with a queensize bed and a small window, and a spacious bathroom with an italian-like shower and a jacuzzi. History

The Elusive Palace refers to a building built under the High-elf capital. It has the same purpose and almost the same layout. In 26 after the portal's opening, Tinuvaire Ohta'mando, former Iellwen Isil'lasse and current Tuirwen since 27 APO, visited the building with her wife, Iris Shendel-Isil'lasse. From this visit came great memories and... After the capital suddenly declared the ohtans way of life illegal and expelled its follower, leading them to an exode of 8 months, leading to the creation of another Ohta'mando, Tinuvaire felt that this place deserved to be under her city-state too. A huge common effort was made int order to erect the building in such a short time, using mostly magical manner. Ultimately, the building was made smaller by 2 meters and shorter by 1 meters than the original.
