Week 1: Change

Consider what kind of changes would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
I added more drama to my world! In addition to the main conflict between Muha and the Crown and the dispute over the ethical use of magitech, several regions have their own problems. Dragons are attacking Plessium, addiction and sex trafficking run rampant in Saram, and a plague infests Hatan, amongst other issues.

Week 2: Refuge
Assignment 1
Consider what kinds of refuge would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
The healing springs at the base of Mt. Hatan are a refuge for unicorns, pegasi, and weary travelers.
Travelers might also find solace at the oases in Plessium, the temples in Eiriel, or the wayward inn.

Week 3: Belief
Assignment 1
Consider what kind of beliefs would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
There are 22 gods in Ohm, so it may be a good idea to expand on those. Some also believe that the Crown is a 23rd god, while others are vehemently against this belief. The Muhara believe technological advancement is evil and unnatural, while the Thorilians believe it is a force for good. Traditionalists and many religious folks look down upon the Sarami for their hedonistic lifestyle, while the Sarami believe that life is all about maximizing pleasure. I am sure the citizens of Ohm also have superstitions and urban legends; I just haven't uncovered them yet!
Assignment 2
This week, I will collect a bank of inspiration based on my personal experiences, quotes, music, shower thoughts, etc., and then report on my findings!
I've been spending a lot of time getting acquainted with my new job, working with children with developmental disabilities. There's a lot of pressure to get things right, and I lie awake at night, overpreparing for problems that might not be there. I think Alator can relate to the feeling. Wanting to be perfect, wanting to be the best, he overprepares and overtrains, stressing himself out and ultimately doing more harm than good.
I've also been listening to playlists for Pride month, which have nice, upbeat tones and themes of self-acceptance. Self-acceptance is a major theme in Ohm, especially for Bri, who struggles to accept herself after being rejected by others for being different. The concept of Pride can also be applied to Bri and Cerawyn's relationship, as the two women develop romantic feelings towards each other.

Assignment 3
I added some pictures to my meta, and drew up a precursory draft for a map on a free map creation software. I couldn't make it too detailed, one because I'm still in the early stages of my world, and two because the free version is very limited (also, I don't think the proportions are quite right.) I don't think I'll upload it to Maps just yet because it's not really where I'd like it to be, but I've got something to work off of!

Week 4: Decay
Assignment 1
Consider what kind of decay would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
The peace of the kingdom and its citizens decay as Muha wages war on other territories, sparking intense conflicts between those who support magitech and those who do not. As magitech takes up more and more natural resources, the environment also begins to decay. Perhaps as people become more and more reliant on magitech, their physical and/or mental capabilities may decay as well, leading to trouble when they don't have this technology to rely on. Certain populations across Ohm decay from war, disease, and addiction, amongst other issues.
Assignment 2
I like to write at the boba tea shop once a week when I do laundry, but I usually write on my bed or on the couch when I'm not doing that. I don't usually like sitting up at my desk for long periods of time. So I asked WorldAnvil for some suggestions, and I came up with some ideas!
Step 1: Make the Desk Cozy!
I cleaned my messy space, hooked up an external monitor, added a plant, and filled my diffuser. Now my desk is a super comfy space to work in and I've been typing at it ever since!
Step 2: Snaaaacks
I got some writing snacks and drinks all ready for July. Dark chocolate and spicy foods are supposed to be good for creativity; of course, we want to be healthy, too. So I got dark chocolate almonds and berries, some Takis, popcorn, a variety pack of popped chips, and some dried fruit. I've also got coffee and tea from Ojai. Yum!
Step 3: Ready to Focus
I've found that I write better at night, so setting aside some time each day after work seems like a good time to work on prompts. I've also got some nice music to listen to.
To motivate me to focus more, I downloaded an app called Focus Quest so I can gamify my writing time. I highly recommend checking it out!
