Captain Fergus Hargreave
Fergus Hargreave is the new official head guard stationed in Saltskeep on behalf of The Timeless Parliament. He is a human man in his early thirties who carries himself with strict decorum as the Parliament's representation in this town.
Despite his title and backing, the locals do not often trust him with their issues or conflicts because he handles them to the rule of law...which is harsher than most conflicts necessitate. Most do not respect him nearly as highly as they do Michthil "Mitch" Keyric, and certainly not for the same reason. Most townsfolk respect Mitch because they trust him. Captain Hargreave, however, is respected out of fear.
Captain Hargreave does not understand the different kinds of respect, but he is quite aware of the difference in status between him and some disorganized, dishonorable, young upstart. That Michthil is just a pretty young face, and not remotely as experienced, so of course the uneducated common folk are unaware of the difference in pedigree.
