Minor Dieties

The divine children of Father Time and Mother Truth embody the seven central emotions of the soul, each forming a holy order whose monks specialize in their god’s particular domain. These deities—three sisters and four brothers—are often depicted in intricate mosaics as a great wheel of emotion, each spoke pointing outward from their celestial parents at the center.   Brother Fury
Worshippers of Brother Fury are fiery-hearted, passionate, and swift to action. His faithful practice the virtues of justice, martial prowess, and honor. Prayers to Brother Fury often beseech his aid in delivering righteous vengeance or lend his wrath in battle.   Known as the Master of Flame and Sword, and sometimes Lord of Fire and War, Brother Fury’s gift to mortals was the sacred flame of anger—not as a curse, but as a divine force to resist evil, defy injustice, and protect peace.   Temples dedicated to Fury are built like squat fortresses, often doubling as garrisons. Within, warrior-monks train from dawn till dusk. Their uniforms are practical and rugged, usually bearing the stitched image of a stallion, his sacred beast and symbol of untamed strength. These monks ride out on quests to hunt down outlaws, drive back monsters, and serve justice where courts cannot reach.   Brother Happiness
Worshippers of Brother Happiness are exuberant, joyful, and endlessly welcoming. His monks uphold the virtues of kindness, hospitality, and good cheer, believing happiness to be a sacred fuel that empowers goodness in the world.   Prayers to Brother Happiness are full of gratitude—for food, for friends, for laughter under starlit skies. His temples are found on crossroads near bustling towns, structured like restful inns and filled with music, food, and soft beds. No one is turned away.   His monks wear pastel-colored robes and capes, soft to the touch and easy on the eye, adorned with silver circlets on their heads—his holy emblem. Their daily routines include song, dance, storytelling, and counseling, bringing light to any who enter their halls.   Sister Adoration
The devotees of Sister Adoration are contemplative, orderly, and hungry for truth. They pursue the virtues of curiosity, scholarship, and meticulous care. Prayers to her are whispered questions: how does the world work, and what more is there to know?   Her temples are rare and hidden, often disguised as laboratory-monasteries or nestled within the keeps of noble patrons. These places buzz with invention and inquiry—dissected beasts, alchemical vapors, and spinning celestial globes fill their halls. Non-monks are rarely allowed entry unless their collaboration furthers divine understanding.   Her monks wear plain robes adorned with bee-shaped patches and armbands, symbolizing her industrious spirit and relentless curiosity. They speak little and listen often, documenting every moment with the care of archivists recording holy scripture.   Brother Sympathy
Followers of Brother Sympathy are compassionate, resolute, and utterly selfless. They practice the virtues of healing, empathy, and sacrifice, traveling to where pain festers and offering comfort.   Physicians, healers, and battlefield medics often join their ranks, as monastic vows are not binding for life—one can study with the order and later return to secular life. Prayers to Brother Sympathy are simple and urgent, often spoken during surgeries or whispered over the dying.   His monks wear simple aproned robes, often stained from fieldwork, and carry satchels of herbs, salves, and poultices. They build light, collapsible temples, easy to assemble and disassemble as they move with the tides of conflict and need.   Sister Fear
Little is known of Sister Fear’s faithful. They are regarded as a mysterious fringe sect, often whispered about in taverns or feared in passing.   Their fortress-monasteries lie deep in the snowbound wilderness of Ravreka and Glühwürm, or on distant eastern islands supported by discreet, powerful merchant houses. The monks never leave, and all trade and resupply is handled through anonymous, unmarked ships and carts.   According to a sangumancer informant, the monks of Sister Fear wear pitch-black robes with a single star-shaped sigil stitched on the chest and back. This star is made of iridescent, rainbow-reflective thread, said to shimmer unsettlingly in the dark. No outsider knows what rituals they perform, only that their order is silent, ancient, and deeply feared.   Brother Calm
Brother Calm is the god of solitude and serenity. His monks seek perfect inner stillness, embracing silence and detachment from the worldly noise.   They dwell in tall, wind-blasted towers, each built far from civilization. The only sounds within are the soft chime of bells and the drifting tendrils of incense smoke. Total silence is law within their walls—monks speak not, even to one another, except during a single hour each year.   They wear pale robes of cloud-grey, and many carry portable incense censers, enveloping themselves in a soft fog wherever they walk. Some break from isolation to wander the world, seeking lost or broken souls to gently guide toward peace.   Sister Romance
Sister Romance rose to prominence in the aftermath of the abominable wars, when life returned to sunlit soil. Her followers became the bridges between peoples, bearing messages of hope and diplomacy.   Monks of Romance are diplomats, couriers, and matchmakers, often present in tense political negotiations or marriage pacts. They promote open borders, free trade, and the sharing of culture and love. Their temples are usually small shrines built in parks, glades, or beside rivers—places meant for heartfelt conversation and reconnection.   Their uniforms are crafted from robes of feathers, gathered from the wings of their prized carrier doves, symbols of their devotion. Over the centuries, they have evolved into a sort of sacred postal guild, dispatching monks on diplomatic errands for nobles, merchants, and cabals alike.
