Mok'slyk (MOCK -slick)
(a.k.a. The Serpent)
The origins of this entity lies buried amongst the cultural trash heap of rumors and myth. In fact, most reputable scholars scoff at the very mention of the name, Mok'slyk, denying it ever existed. However, what little is know of this creature ties it to the Ancient Brethren, a group of powerful entities that existed before even the elder gods like Boccob, Procan, Moradin, Pelor, or even Corellon of the elves. These brethren embodied individual aspects of the chaotic universe. Those scholars willing to discuss Mok'slyk, believe it to be the physical representation of magic.

Representation & Legacy
There are rumors that date back before the Great Migration, before the Twin Cataclysms, back to an age when Eldritch Energies crackled across the sky that a young mage went east unto a bright blue sea seeking The Serpent. Amongst a deep dark dangerous forest, he earned an audience of The Serpent and became a pupil of Mok'slyk where he learned the very essence of life intertwined with eldritch energies.
